Great pen, classy looking and feels really solid in hand with the all metal barrel and cap. Comes in a black gift case. Only markings on pen are “Pilot Japan” and add to the perception of quality. Pen writes amazing, I like gel rollers and this one is great. The ink is strong and is visible from the backside of most papers, so double sided writing isn’t really possible with most paper, that being said that is a gel pen issue and not specific to the Metropolitan. Like most gel pens you can’t write with a super shallow angle like I usually prefer, you have to hold the pen a little more vertical or the tip will grab onto the paper and you can’t write. Again, that is the same with just about all gel rollers I’ve used and is really not an issue. The pen comes with a fine 0.5mm cartridge inside and actually writes quite broad like a 0.7mm. I bought 2 extra 0.7mm and one more 0.5mm and wish I ordered all 0.5mm. In the end I definitely do not regret buying the pen, I also have a Fisher Space Pen and although that one is all brass and cool it kind of sucks to write with and my gel roller Metropolitan is a much better writing instrument.

The Pilot Metropolitan gel roller is the perfect complement to the Pilot Metropolitan fountain pen. The form is exactly the same, and until you remove the cap it’s basically impossible to tell which pen you have. Need something quick, but classy? This pen does it. Need a pen that better with paper that’s not fountain pen friendly? This gel roller Is for you.

Una Pilot de excelente manufactura y excelente precio. Es de metal, escribe muy bien, la tinta es fluida en su versión de gel. El balance al escribir es muy bueno. Totalmente recomendable.
