Mrs. Wages & Orrington Farms Vegan Beef Broth Base & Seasoning, 6 oz Jar

This stuff is powdered gold. It tastes so good! It has a distinct “beef” flavor, without the beef. I use it to make gravy for vegan Swedish meatballs. A little goes a long way. I’ve been using the same jar for months now.

I stopped eating meat and have several vegan friends. However, my favorite soup recipes needed to be altered and I didn't think I would be able to replicate flavors. You need all of these, beef, chicken and ham! They are gorgeous. The smell and taste is excellent and major umami. I made white bean and kale using the vegan ham and the soup had a lovely smoky flavor. Make sure you taste your food before salting. This really eliminates the need too.

Plain vegetable broth is good. Orrington Farms no chicken, no beef and no ham seasonings are great. Use in soups, marinades, tofu.

My family loves this product. We're all either vegetarian or vegan. It's much more practical than liquid broth, as you only make what you need. There's no waste. As a former meat eater, i can honestly say it tastes just like beef broth.

It's easy to come by reasonable vegan "chicken" broth, but ham or beef flavored broths are a different story. I used this "beef" flavored broth when re-hydrating TVP to make chili, it's a subtle difference that helps make meat-eaters believe there is beef in the chili, or at least not miss it. The flavor profile makes me think of of "Herb Ox" bullion cubes. The "ham" broth is great also, I typically use it in vegan bean soups, as well as savory breakfast porridge. It really does smell like ham! I also like the "chicken" broth.
