big and too loose in the straps !

Are these knockoffs???
I have purchased more than 6 pairs of Havaianas over the years, from bikini stores, boutiques, etc. I wear size 39/40 and love them. However, when I purchased THIS pair of black Havaianas in size 39/40, they were too big and loose in the straps and too long with excess over hang past my heels. This makes me wonder if these are fake?So here is a photo of THESE black Havaianans compared to the same exact size and style of my gray ones.I have purchased other shoes (Steve Madden), etc. from Amazon in the same size and brand as some of my wardrobe favorites, only to be disappointed with the fit, etc. several times. Is Amazon selling knockoffs???

Seriously????
First of all I want to start off by saying I have been wearing this brand for many years but this is the first time (and last) I've purchased them on Amazon. The sizing is off and strap of the left flip flop is exaggeratingly large.... And I did see that on many reviews. But I gave it a try anyway- lesson learned!!!! Like one reviewer wrote- maybe these are knock-offs or rejects....Already started my refund process.

Poorly made
I received one that was smaller than the other and the other one had straps that were way to big - couldn’t keep it on my foot. Bad seller - will not buy from this seller again.

Very untrue to size
I have worn many Havaianas for 3 years and love them. HOWEVER, I ordered a white and black pair of the same size. The white fit fine (9/10) the black (marked as a 9/10) was 1/2 inch shorter. I returned those and ordered the next size up (11/12). It is 3/4 an inch too long and was marked on the tag 9/10 but on the shoe was marked an 11/12. Be aware that even within the same product, the sizes are jacked up.

Where is the value?
This was on my daughters wish list for Christmas. Near $30 for a pair of flip flops. Opened the package before wrapping. Hmmm ....compared my $5 flip flops, mine has twice the rubber, maybe twice the miles without a technical evaluation of the rubber. Mine don't have the name stamped in the rubber nor the piece of costume jewelry but I stopped over 40 years ago wearing clothing with Nike or Addidas unless they were prepared to pay me to advertise their wares. I guess just my question of where is the value???.
