I should have read more reviews otherwise I would not have purchased this. The wire is clear fishing wire so no elasticity when wrapped around a cats neck. All my previous wands have been a stretchy elastic for the string, in case of accidental wrap around a cat's neck - and they do get caught around energetic cat's necks. The feathers and dangles are nice quality, but the worms are not. The yellow one was destroyed in the first hour, broken into pieces all over the floor. They are not stretchy like other worms so break easily. The wand does expand, but there is no way to keep it either full length or shortened, so, for me and my cats this was not the best wand. Will stick to buying the wands from the large pets store for a few pounds more.

I'd never seen my cat play like this before using this toy, she jumps so high now and does spins and all sorts!! Literally the best toy I've had for her. She knows when its play time as she hears the bell on the end where the toy is. There's so many attachments to choose from too. Great value for money!!I don't leave it out as I'm worried she might get tangled in it (probably unlikely!) because it's a clear string/wire so I just put it in the drawer until the next day.This toy has changed my cat, she's so playful with it and has become amazing at spinning in the air like never before!

There are lots of sellers offering similar products. We had one with a black wand last year that fell apart after about a fortnight's heavy use. One of the cats grew particularly attached to the pink mouse toy and insisted on dragging what was left of it (and the remains of the wand) around the house.I chose this seller because they had 2 wands and lots of toys to swap around for not much more money than a single wand pack. The retractable wands seem to be made of a better type of plastic - well they haven't broken. Each toy has a bell (they look easy enough to remove). The wiggly furry worms(?) seem to be in favour at the moment. Some of the clasps are a little stiff, but this toy is very popular in our house.

My cats are obsessed. One of them won't leave these toys alone, even when his brother is getting treats!Weirdly, he's also started taking a selection of these out of his toy box and bringing them outside every morning. He sits on the lawn surrounded by them (like a little dragon) until one of us has a break to play with him. Most evenings, he reverses the process too and brings them back in (only usually missing one or two).They've always brought us toys as payment for 'good behaviour' but never decided to methodically relocate objects as though setting up a school sports day! Little weirdos.The only downside is that the rest of the contents of their jam-packed toy box has been completely redundant since these appeared!

I have lots of cats of many different ages from babies to 11kg stud boys and they all adore these wands. I like the fact that I can change the toys over and alternate to keep them interested. Now they just hear the bell and they come running ready for play time. Happy with the sturdiness of the rods and the quality of the attachments. Some of the pins are quite stiff but I prefer that to being really loose. Would recommend.

I don't see the wands breaking unless you're stoopid enough to fight your cat over the toy by pulling it yourself. You can only use the wand at fully extended length (would be nice to be adjustable) so it's average quality.Attachments are great especially the snakes which have very animal-like motion when dragged along the floor inticing my kitten. I'd say it's almost worth the price but the feathered attachments are not the best and the items are packaged in a cheap plastic. Considering how such packaged items are treated at the warehouse I was surprised no items were missing nor damaged. I won't be buying again for this reason (poor packaging) .

Jasper, 9 years young, saw the bag this arrived in and he just knew it was for him. He has hardly stopped playing with it - he absolutely loves it! It's nice there are 2 handles, one in the front room and one in the bedroom - that way I can never forget it! One thing though: I had expected the extension to be firm, like you set it at the length you want it and it would stay there. Instead it's completely loose...

Bought this to replace another rod toy we picked up, and our cat took to it very quickly. She loves to play with the ribbon fish especially!Only drawback is that some of the toys have some cheap looking googley eyes, we didn't trust these and pulled them off before allowing the kitty to play with them. Given how easy they came off we are very glad that we did!
