Best dog food for dogs with allergies

Well I’m not usually one to leave reviews here but this food did really help my pup with his skin allergies and that information I feel I must share with my fellow dog parents . We came off of a Gently cooked extremely expensive diet . The proteins he was eating was beef and pork. I couldn’t really afford it anymore and my dog’s skin was horrendous regardless . So honestly I asked chat gbt for some advice on picking a more affordable and benefiting kibble for my pup. After one 25 lb bag of the whitefish formula all of the crusty yeast build up he had on his skin has disappeared. I did notice he gained weight but I’m walking him to try to keep that down . I know it’s A huge switch from gently cooked back to kibble but it seems to be working for us . I ordered another bag today and hope he keeps up the improvement.

My GSD (Kaija)has stopped breaking out w/yeast infections,rashes from food allergies to beef,poultry products,other ingredients since on this formula. Both dogs(one herding mixed breed male) have improved their skin,coats(I also gave them a oatmeal flea killing bath). Stopped treats.Balls are the reward. Kaija has become much more active and her healthily muscles,cost,bright eyes are a relief.Both dogs can chew this easily.

Went to the vet and they determined my dog had a heart murmur. They asked what kind of food we have him and we told them. They informed us grain free diets have been linked to heart murmurs in dogs. I did the research and it showed that zignature had the highest rate among the brands listed. Again I don't think the company is doing anything intentional, it's people who get on the health bandwagon thinking they are making their animals healthier. Truth is, he licks his butt and eats sticks and grass so a little grain won't hurt him. Had to switch to to Purina pro plan and will follow up with vet in 3 months to see if the heart murmur goes away. Again, the vet said it could be a sign of old age, but we will switch food to see if it improves. Until then I have to rate it poorly. My dog did love the food and it appeared to be healthy but just a product of circumstance and research I suppose.

I feed both my small dogs Zignature dry food. I feed them this flavour, Whitefish as well as the Trout and Salmon. I was told the basic formula is the same for all Zignature foods, that it is just the flavour component that is different, so you can switch flavours without the usual "introduction of a new food" hassle. Their poops are small and easy to pick up, and you don't have to feed them massive volumes because it isn't filled with useless bulk. I highly recommend the product.
