Heirloom Quality
3rd Review: DONE! A love-hate project. BRVSK backing, color ordered Red. I read a review complaining about the TOO light colors stamped on canvas. I agree completely. They responded to her review that they couldn't do anything about it. The peacock blue used for a gray thread color worked. Maybe try changing the chart to colors that can be seen. Ran out of Peach color, 2nd Review: Still having fun with this project. BUT you need to use the chart extensively. The canvas print is too light to see everything well. 1st Review: What a beautiful project. I took a picture to show how detailed the color chart provided is, to make this project as easy as possible, although, this project is for the INTERMEDIATE FIBER ARTIST. The chart is numbered, the color legend provides exactly how the threads should be used. Read the directions very carefully. I am using MY needlepoint stretcher, that is NOT provided. The yarns are beautiful, I will keep you updated on a 77-year-olds progress. A magnifier with light is essential, because of the color detail on the canvas.

Gorgeous!
This is an ambitious project! It's sometimes hard to follow on the canvas-extremely detailed with lots of beautiful colors. I finally used watercolor pens to go over the outlines so that I could see them better. This project is taking a long time, but a gorgeous pillow cover is emerging. Worth the effort!

Stunning when finished, but stamped fabric could be darker.
This is an absolutely gorgeous pattern, and well worth the effort! It’s only the second needlepoint project I’ve ever done, and I was able to complete it, though difficult at times. My main issue was how light colors were on the fabric itself, and how similar different colors appeared on the fabric. If you study the guide hard enough you’ll be able to figure it out, but it does take patience. For that reason I’ve given it 4 stars. I suggest a magnifying light for anyone who has trouble seeing colors or seeing close up, but I couldn’t be more thrilled with my final product. Looking forward to finding more Dimensions patters to work!

Beautiful but details are overwhelming
This is a beautiful (and expensive) piece, and the materials were ok. However, because this design was printed from the photo of a painting, the amount of details were overwhelming. I felt like I spent more time changing and loading threads than I did stitching! One day as I started to work again, it took me longer to find the spot where I wanted to stitch than it did to stitch it, including loading the needle! (Yes, I leave marking pins.) It was a spot of 3 x 4 stitches (no, not inches) in a color that immediately blended into the area I had already stitched; the colors were only one shade different. I don't want each, individual color to stand out, but this overload on blending is ridiculous! I will go back to the Tulips someday, but will be combining areas and blending threads rather than waste an expensive kit or fight the layout. And just FYI, I have a Master's Degree and taught grades 7 - 12 and college level, including in a Master''s program for teacher training. I started doing stitching at 17; I am now 75, so my experience is considerable. In addition, I also have very good eyesight and flexible hands. I work on only 14 ct. projects and with no magnifying assistance. If you purchase this kit, be prepared to spend a lot of time loading needles. If you finish it, you will have a beautiful piece that should be framed, not turned into a pillow.

Wonderful Kit
Dimension has to make the BEST needlepoint kits, especially since Wilton took over the company. I have,at least,60 needlepts I have done and framed over the years. Three quarters finished with ths one and the painted canvas, instructions, layout of threads and their color coded system is great. If you ever run short of a color(s) you only need to contact the company and they will send you more thread, free of charge. I really liked doing needlepoints with wool yarns but like everything else,to save money, these kits use cotton threads and kits come from China. They still are fun to do and look lovely when finished.By the way it is NOT called cross-stitch here in USA but only "needlepoint"

Just beautiful
I made my tapestry into a pillow. It is just beautiful. I have a lot of experience with needlepoint. This was the most challenging one. It has more colors and for that reason some of the stamped shading is harder to identify. I bought an Ott Light for working in the evenings and that helped a lot.

Beautiful kit
This a gorgeous, tapestry like, very fine canvas. The colors are even more brilliant than the picture. Very intricate, with somewhat difficult instructions. The colors printed on the canvas are quite different than the actual colors of the thread to be used so you have to pay close attention to the chart that is enclosed. My first time using embroidery thread instead of yarn, but I like it because the colors are so much more vibrant.

Since my youth many years ago I have enjoyed Dimensions kits
Since my youth many years ago I have enjoyed Dimensions kits. Always a pleasure to stitch and the finished product is beautiful and worthy of awe. Plenty of floss easy instructions and simple therapy for the mind to sit and quietly stitch. This particular kit is no exception and though I am only half way finished I am shopping for my next Dimensions project.
