JANYUN 8 Pcs Heat Erasable Fabric Pens with 52 Refills for Quilting

My Great-grandfather came to this country with his sewing machine on his back--i.e. I am 4th generation tailor. I was taught to sew when I was 7 years old--that was 73 years ago. I have used Dritz, Clover, Fons & Porter and numerous others. These are far and away the BEST, most efficient, most effective and easiest ones I have ever used. Yes, they absolutely disappear when the item is ironed. I am thrilled that I found them.

These work perfectly :D I’m a person who loves to completely trace out every line on a pattern, both around the seam allowance before I cut the fabric out and then all the notches and seam lines and everything, so it’s perfect for keeping my work clean afterwards- It’s not great when you use a lot else because its hard to get off afterwards but these pen erase perfectly when you iron them so it saves the trouble and everything, I really like them for that. My single complaint is the ink does run out SUPER FAST. I don’t think I could finish a big big project with the amount I mark down without me using up every single pen and refill i’m afraid..

I was unsure at first, but I'm impressed with these fabric pens. The ink flow is good once you get it started, very easy to use and change out. The fact that it comes with several refills is great! You will need them if you're doing very much marking. I use them to mark my designs for hand quilting as well as tracing out my embroidery work. Pens functionality is smooth and as accurate as your hand is guiding it lol! My one complaint and the reason I disnt give 5 stars is the red and blue inks do not seem as good as the black and blue. I have had several of the sticks not work at all for those 2 colors, unsure why. Could be they are too dry already but I do like this product and would recommend it.

Bought these for sashiko stencils and love that you can see them really well on the fabric and that they disappear with some ironing. They do run out pretty fast, so the large number of refills is super helpful and of great value. The tip isn't a super fine point though - so I had an issue with some of the stencils I bought on Amazon.

One of plugs on the end of the pen was difficult to get off and I had to use a pair of pliers after breaking a fingernail. The result was that both the pen and the plug broke. I tried another one and the plug came out easily. But then the ink cartridge would not protrude out the tip of the pen, even after reinserting the plug. I tried another one, same result. At this point I decided to just use the cartridge without the pen (casing). First I used the black cartridge... the line on the fabric was very light, almost too light to see, and I could only make a visible line by pressing very hard, which made the cartridge difficult to draw with as well as making an impression on the fabric. The black ink began to disappear after a few seconds before I even ironed it (room temperature about normal, probably 70 degrees F). The blue ink worked a little better and made a more visible line, and it disappeared instantly when I ironed it (yay!). The red ink had about the same result as the black (very light line). The white ink was a complete failure... even on black fabric it only made some very faint smudges, not what you could really call a line, AND as it says on the information sheet it doesn't appear at all until after a few seconds which makes it pretty difficult to "draw" anything with it like you might want to do with free motion quilting, because you can't see what mark you have already made until you wait a few seconds. Anyone who has any experience drawing would appreciate the challenge this presents. Finally, out of curiosity I put the test fabric in the refrigerator (probably around 35 or 40 degrees F) and the lines re-appeared. Very dissatisfied with this product.

Nice product. A bit difficult to figure out how to put it together, but once I figured it out, it worked great.

I would not buy these again. I use them a lot as I like the narrow lines a piece of chalk doesn’t always provide. However, I am constantly changing them out as most don’t even write. Sometimes they will make markings for awhile then just quit, although clearly there is still ample ink in the pen tube. I end up throwing it away. The white never works for me even on denim. Many of the colors just don’t show dark enough unless you use white material. I find I only look for the dark color ink. The others seem worthless or just take too much time sorting out one that works well enough. I’ll use them up. I want to find one with one color ink that shows up in just about anything, but mainly my denim. Speaking of which, several projects I’ve ruined with these pens. They say disappearing ink (with heat), but it doesn’t work that way. The ink in some of the colors does not go away. I even tried washing it out in the washer. Very frustrating. I do not use on the front of my work any longer so back to chalk.

These disappearing pens are great. It comes with plenty of refills to last a lifetime for me since I don’t sew very much but when I do, this helps mark the sewing lines clearly and the markings come off easily too.

Theses are so useful and thankfully easily erasable. Good quality and good value for money

These fabric pens are much handier than using chalk. The lines are easy to see, and they write nice and smoothly. The marks come out easily with a quick touch of an iron, so cleanup is simple. There are lots of refills in the pack, so these should last a long time. They can drag a tiny bit on certain fabrics, but it wasn't a big deal. Having three ink colors is a nice bonus too.
