We put some of it in a smaller tupperware container and dip the blades into that instead of dipping into the original container. **Q: After using the product for your blades do you have to wipe it off before using it on a dog?** A: definitely yes......blades must be wiped off and dried **Q: Are you supposed to dip your clippers directly into the container?** A: No. I just take off the blade and let it soak for a while in the cleaner.
