A very good toaster. The grill on top is great for heating muffins, croissants etc. The toaster slots are nice and wide, can fit thickly sliced bread

I cannot rate this toaster highly enough! Well worth all the effort I put into researching for a decent toaster.You may not believe the difficulty I have had finding a toaster that works successfully, I had one (very well known and respected make) that took so long to toast a piece of bread it was hardly worth using, another one that was far too small for an average size slice of bread and forget anything thicker unless you were prepared to dig it out later! Another barely lasted a year and so on...........This toaster however Toasts bread! (surprise, surprise)to perfection on a medium setting and quickly straight from unpacking the box, teacakes, bagels etc. cause no problem at all, fitting perfectly and toasting well. I have not yet used the warming rack but it fits well and I cannot for-see a problem. The stainless steel finish also looks smart.The only surprise I had was that the toaster looked much larger than the picture led me to believe - no real problem, in fact I had been worried that the slice of bread would be too big but in fact there was no problem at all!If you are searching for a quality product that works do not hesitate in buying this one - in fact there is no need to waste your time reading any more reviews .

this is one fab toaster------- has to be it's Bosch it's just a simple toaster no frills but does a great job my wife and I have used Bosch for more years than I can remember bit more expensive than others but you buy quality every time even down to this great toaster is fab fast and efficient . did I tell you so is the dish washer--the cooker it's a Neff but that is trade name for Bosch--and the fridge freezer Bosch, and so is the table top grill [Bosch] James your a bu>>>>>oooooo don't say it yes I am bragging but all kidding aside .The toaster is really fab and it's Bosch------- we buy Bosch because they very rarely break down I kid you not the washing machine is now 12 years old and has never had an engineer near it in all that time

I've given this two stars simply because it failed after less than two weeks very low usage. Looks stylish and neat. Not too sure abut the usefulness of the warming rack, a bit fiddly to store and doesn't do anything for the appearance of the toaster, minor point. Toasting bread from frozen was ok for the first couple of slices of bread, but keeping the dial on the same mid-range point resulted in overdone toast for subsequent frozen slices, requiring the dial to be turned back. After only a couple of weeks light use the two inner elements failed, whilst the outer, presumably because the elements are connected in series, went into warp drive and consequently produced bread burnt to cinders on one side only: not a good sign!We usually like Bosch kit because it is well constructed and last well, so quite disappointed with this item. I have requested a replacement to give it one more go. No problem organising a replacement from Amazon, although for the first time I will have to take this to a local Collect + participant store, instead of it being collected, which is a bit of a pain.Update August 2012: just about to return the replacement toaster. Reason: it has failed with exactly the same fault as the original! Don't know if this fault is a design problem or simply a batch fault, either way, the replacement will not be a Bosch.

This toaster toasts ok. It looks great.I miss the tic tic tic of the Dualit toaster this replaces.It seems to take longer than the Dualit, but that might be just in my imagination.I like the heating rack, it works well.It arrived very pronto :-)

Very stylish toaster and nice deep and wide toaster slots which can accommodate thicker bread. Does take a little longer to toast than my old one, but this one toasts a lot more evenly. The lever is a little bit loose as other reviewers have mentioned, and you need to pull it down until you can hear a click as the mechanism doesn't work otherwise. Overall, I'm very happy with the styling and quality of this unit, and being Bosch I am confident it will last. The bun rack is nice and sturdy although I've not used that yet. I especially like that this toaster keeps cool while on, unlike my old Tefal which was burning hot to the touch.
