In short – YES, absolutely, definitely without a question YES.

The causes of hair loss in women differ measurably from the factors underlying hair loss in men.  Men, for instance, produce more testosterone and convert more of that testosterone to the more potent form - Dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It follows that although DHT is a factor in hair loss in women, it plays a much much greater role in men.  Ingredients such as Saw Palmetto have been clinically proven to lower the hair damaging DHT hormones. Since men produce more and are more sensitive to DHT, they naturally require significantly higher doses of phytoactives like Saw Palmetto.

Hair loss and thinning in women is now being tied to many outside factors that likewise need to be addressed with appropriate ingredients. It is therefore essential that a hair loss supplements be formulated separately for the two genders.
