Flare Audio® - earSHADE+ One Size Fits All memory foam earplug with soft touch silicone grip

Well, I didn't bother to open the product, as this is how I received it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? It is opened and there was zero attempt to make it look halfway decent before it came to me. I'm returning post haste. This is gross.

These aren't really earplugs in the sense of blocking out much sound. When I first put them in I was disappointed as I was expecting more noise blocking. However I decided to try them anyway outside walking to the shops and found they did actually take the edge off traffic noise and all the noise in the supermarket. I can still hear people speak but the voices are distanced. They turn sounds down a few notches but the sounds are all still there. I'm vaguely aware that there's in store music but seem to zone out from it with these in. I'm autistic and have lots of sensory issues around noise and I do find these helpful. They also look rather smart as well. Just don't buy them and think they're going to act as standard earplugs. I've knocked a star off because I'm not sure they'll last long, the foam part is already fraying. Also be careful not to push them in too far when inserting as it hurts!

Hmmmm....Doesn't fit my ears at all as the angle of the cone is too acute and won't stay in at all. Don't want to give 1 star as it's not Flares fault for my ears being weird.They look well made and will be great for most people. I'm just built different I suppose !!

I'm not sure where these fall in the Flare range: what are they for? They provide a little hearing protection and are very comfortable, but other Flare products do more. I guess they are a cheap reusable option.
