How would you wash this? Can it be placed in the dryer?

I washed this in the washing machine - cold water; delicate cycle. I hung it up to dry and it was quick to dry.

What else is needed for this to work for a plague doctors costume besides a balaclava and black gloves?

Black wide collar, brown belt, black hat and white face mask with pointy beak.

I want to order this for my daughter. She is about 5'2" and about 125 lbs. ( thin athletic build) Should I get the small or the med.

I think small should be fine. When I placed my order, only small was available. With the hight and weight you posted, small should be right.
