The M16 MGMC (Multiple Gun Motor Carriage) was a half-track with a mounted M45 Anti-aircraft gun used by the US, Russian, and British Commonwealth forces in WWII. Equipped with four 0.5 inch (12.7 mm) M2 Browning machine guns, it was aptly nicknamed the "Kraut-Mower" and "Meat Chopper". It was an extremely effective anti-aircraft gun, and was very popular with soldiers. The M16 was similar in design to it's predecessor, the M3 half-track, but featured 12mm front armor and the addition of the quad mount gun. In addition to being a deadly anti-aircraft gun, it was also used extensively as an infantry support vehicle. The M16 was used from 1944 through WWII and Korean War until it was declared obsolete in 1958. The M45 gun continued to see use through the Vietnam War.
