Does anyone know how this differs from the UV clear, SPF 46 version? Thank you.

The uv clear spf 46 contains B3 and lactic acid to fade hyperpigmentation, acne scars, and helps to keep pores unclogged. It's for more acne prone/oily skin. The spf 40 is more for dryer and sensitive skin types. Lactic acid can be drying/irritating for some ppl. I personally have acne prone and dry skin. In the summer months I use the uv clear spf 46. In the dryer months I use the spf 40. Neither of them break me out though.

Is the suscreen zinc oxide

It is not *only* zinc oxide--it also contains octinoxate, a chemical sunscreen that's banned in Hawaii for being damaging to coral reefs. Do not use this if you have melasma, since the chemical portion will absorb UV rays and convert it to heat, which will aggravate the melasma.

Is this one similar to spf30+ for dry & post-procedure skin, which i use for 3 years. I want a higher spf with lightweight but not gostly white face.

Not sure if it's for dry skin, but can tell you it doesn't give your skin that white color. I usually put it on and give the lotion a minute or two to dry and rub it in again. This sunscreen doesn't irritate or make my eyes burn which keeps me coming back. It's like I don't have sunscreen on.
