Windows 10 For Seniors For Dummies

Works well, but Win 10 is not constant and updates soon out date it.
It is a good idea and provides an overview, but as a printed book it cannot keep up to date with frequent changes and this can be frustrating. By the time of purchase some of the content may have been superseded. This is not a fault of the book 'per se' but simply reflects the fact that progress changes things faster than printed matter can cope with. A good overview but sadly is not a complete answer or totally reliable guide. Recommended, but subject to some reservations for the reasons stated.

Not great.
I am new to Microsoft and I really did not find this book at all useful. Jumps all over the place but no real in depth instructions on how to do quite simple things. I just Google now! However other book suggestions would be welcome

Beware if you are partially sighted
I ordered this book as I have a new computer and not being familiar with the new concept of Windows 10 it sounded good. However beware if you are partially sighted as I find some of the illustrations are not clear enough for me to read. I would have chosen a different book had I realised this problem.

Change to Windows 10 made easier
I am having a new computer with Windows 10 installed tomorrow. This book has made the move less scary. I have been reading relevant chapters and it makes me feel more confident. I have got two books about Windows 10 and this one is more user friendly than the otherI would have liked a little more information about Skype and downloading books. I can see me looking up different things just the coming days. It was a good buy and I think it will be so helpful tome.

Size of print on figures much too small
The size of print of the main dialogue is fine but the figures are mainly printed in black with white print and the size of the print in many of these figures is so small, it is impossible to read the details. Figures 5.8 and 5.9 on pages 102 and 103 are just two of the examples. I used a magnifying glass to try and measure the size of this print and would put it at approximately half a millimetre. I am very disappointed as I hoped to have a manual on Windows 10 that would help sort out problems. I returned the book to Amazon without any problems. P.G. Poole
