OK for the shunt to be down there, too?** A: There is a RJ-45 connection that is not intended to get wet, so having it in an unprotected location is probably not a good idea, especially if road salt could get to it. If you can bring the battery negative cable into the van, that would be much better, or else use a weatherproof junction box. **Q: I have two 12v 31-series agm batteries wired in parallel. can anyone provide info on how the negative from the battery should be wired to the shunt?** A: After the two batteries are connected together, the negative from one of them goes to the shunt, and nothing else.
