Plug cat5/6 into ports, 1-4 ( cable coming from other router. Depending on how many times you have added a router, will depend on the IP that you give it. If this is just the 2nd router, setup IP as 192.168.1.2, then make sure all your wireless settings are correct, and turn off DHCP. Power cycle the router and your should be good to go. Usually, the model number on the surfboards look like sb6xxx. Since you are paying for 200Mbps, your modem is going to be the first chokepoint but if you bought a DOCSIS 3.0 modem, then you should be able to reach speeds of 300Mbps. This specific router states on Linksys.com that the max link rate is 867Mbps. Given that you are hard-wired with cat 6 ethernet cable installed correctly (i.e. no runs over 100ft, no kinks, etc.) then you should be able to hit your 200Mbps speed provided by your ISP. Your wireless speed is determined by the server you are pinging as well as interference in your area and other devices in use on your network. A caveat, though, is that each category of internet speeds provided by your ISP is usually "up to..." so basically they will provide speeds up to the 200Mbps but no lower than the category under the one you pay for. I was easily able to set it up with the help of a mobile app. The router is smart enough to create own IP address and do its own setup. I just had to connect my LAN cable to it, and i was good to go.Guest internet: It was easy as well. By default a guest ID and network is created. When you login the Guest network, it opens up a linksys page asking for a password for internet access. The password is preset(which can be changed) via mobile app. Now i can give internet access to my guests without letting them access my network.The router creates its own network to share data among the connected computers and laptop. This help one to create a LAN network of its own without setting up expensive switches.Pros:1. Easy Setup2. UI is simple3. Simple Mobile app4. Wifi range is very good. Covers 2000 sqft.
