Slow burn, So Good
Candles remain a simple and reliable source of light, whether for emergencies, prayer, or setting a calm atmosphere. Beeswax candles, in particular, stand out for their natural, soothing fragrance that adds to the overall experience without being overpowering. They’re compact and easy to store, making them a practical addition to cupboards, emergency kits, or a go-bag. Another advantage is their durability—being wax-based, they’re naturally water-resistant and can handle storage in less-than-ideal conditions. A major strength is their long burn time, with these candles lasting up to 12 hours. Compared to standard paraffin candles—which often burn faster and can produce more soot—beeswax tends to burn cleaner and longer. Soy candles can be a cleaner alternative to paraffin, but they typically don’t match the same burn time or structural durability, especially in warmer conditions. They’re not windproof, of course, but in most indoor or controlled environments, they perform exactly as expected. Overall, beeswax candles are a dependable and versatile option—offering longer burn time, cleaner performance, and a more natural scent than many common alternatives. They’re useful in emergencies, but just as effective for everyday ambiance.

Perfect for Mini Candle Lantern
First: Yes, they are really very expensive for candles. These fit into UCO (or similar) breakdown candle lanterns. The lanterns usually come with paraffin candles, which are great and last a long time. These replacement candles are made from beeswax, however. They do last considerably longer than the paraffin versions. What I really like about them, however, is that they give off a really pleasing, mild scent as they burn. I use these when I'm illuminating the inside of my tent or cabin rather than the other ones. I also appreciate that they are a natural resource. The quality is high, and they burn very evenly and as long as advertised. My experience is that the wicks on these have been self-trimming and have never broken off between uses. These seem to have held up well in the hot environments of the desert, my enclosed gear box, and the interior of my truck, never melting to the point of being misshapen. But the cost, you say? Well, yeah. For me, it's a value proposition: I enjoy and prefer the gentle glow of candlelight when I'm camping or backpacking, over the bright light and hiss of my white-gas-driven light whenever I can help it. They do last a good, long while, too, and I figure that the per-hour cost of these set me back a little over a quarter. That, and the fact that they cost only a little more than the paraffin version for an emergency/camping light that will never run out of batteries or suffer a broken mantle make them well worth it for me. That, and the fact that there is nothing that smells quite like a burning beeswax candle. Besides, I go through these so slowly that I don't have to buy them that often. Five stars for a high quality, well-made product that lasts.

Nice but pricey
Nice beeswax candles for my lantern. They are pricey for their size compared to other beeswax candles out there. They are bright enough in my tent so that I can see. They will last well over 8 hours as I use them to keep condensation out of my tent.

The good and the bad
This is a good product, but with most it works in some conditions better than others. They do burn longer, they do smell like bees wax - but are not over powering. I live in Alaska and the temperature is rarely over about 75 degrees in the day and 65 at night. I have noticed that the candles love lower temps. 70 degrees down to -20. I was on vacation in California and had planned a few camping trips and took my candle lantern with me. It did not take much time to notice that at 90 degrees the candles made much larger flames and melted the wax a little to fast, and started to melt down the sides of the lantern. I have never had this problem with these candles in cooler temps. The same holds true when it is very cold. At -35 the wax has a problem melting fast enough to keep the flame at even 25% of what it normally is. So if you live where it is HOT, buy the 9 hour paraffin candles. If you live where it is -35 all the time - MOVE. But these candle have worked great for me. They are a bit more, but worth the extra burn time to me.

Buenas y duraderas
I found these candles to be very good. They have a simple, nice design and light easily with a steady flame. I’ve used them for several hours and they burn evenly without smoke or mess. They’re great for creating a calm atmosphere or for decoration. They do their job well and I would recommend them.

Nice candles!
I ordered these beeswax candles for extra "emergency"candles. I wanted something that would last awhile if the electricity went out in a storm, but not something I would have to clean up after. Regular wax candles drip and sometimes run over the candleholder or container they are in creating a mess. I learned about beeswax candles quite by accident, but I am so glad that I found them. They burn clean, are odorless (no obnoxious perfumes or scents added), and drip very little. I think I have had a drop or two from time to time if I happened to move a candle and not keep it perfectly straight - but even then it is just a drop - not a big glob that creates a problem to clean up later. The title is 12 hour candle and I don't think I've actually burned mine that long yet - but a regular wax candle burned as long as I've burned these would be completely gone already - so I know they have a long burn life. Since I have them, however, I find that I use them for more than emergency candles. They are just great to light whenever I need candle light for something - dinner, bath, bedtime whatever!

Honest Review - No BS, or fanboy nonsense
This product seems to be one of those speckled with 1-star and 5-star reviews when it should really fall somewhere in the middle. I don't know why you would give it 5 stars when there are clearly indisputable benefits to the traditional wax candles. It's not a perfect product. I also can't see a 1-star review because, yeah, it does greatly exceed the burn time of the wax candles Here is what you get with these... - Much longer, albeit slightly inconsistent, burn time. I have seen an average of 12-15 hours (just as advertised). - Very nice, clean-smelling smokeless burn - An absolutely ridiculous sticky mess of beeswax after the candle burns out. You will be annoyed. Anybody that says otherwise is a UCO fanboy or is in love the idea beeswax (probably brag about it on the book and post it on the gram)... They are lying, it's a damn mess. The UCO holder itself is not designed around these candles and gets clogged up easily. The last candle I burned gunked up the bottom so bad that I could not turn the bottom plate without heating it up to gain access to the candle compartment. If you are using these candles for some other application, and not in the UCO holder, I would recommend them. I won't be buying them again because they aren't worth headache for me and my intended purpose.

Used one candle for an entire 12 day adventure
Definitely not worth it burning the candle at both ends. Used each night in the screen house along with the UCO candle lantern, for varying times each night while winding down after a long day playing a few rounds of cards. We ordered a three pack with the intention to burn them down during the adventures of glamping out in the not so wild. The candles burned leaving behind a semi sweet aroma in their wake. Highly recommend having the set saving battery time and for emergency preps. I had one of the lanterns when they first came out, but unfortunately a family member thought it best if they took it for their personal use without permission... was and still is a great alternative to an oil burning hurricane lantern and the batteries in the flashlight wasted.

Great Alternative to Scented Candles
. . . really love these beeswax candles . . . I have allergies to the scent chemicals given off by many scented candles, so these beeswax candles are a pleasant relief . .. no allergy problems . . . burn easily with very little drip . . . wonderfully aromatic honey smell . . . look great in their natural colour . . . will certainly buy them again as needed . . .
