Drizzt Do'Urden is one of the most famous characters in the D&D's "default" setting for a reason.The fascinating journey throughout the culture of the drow elves starts with this book, that starts with the events surrounding Drizzt's birth until he decides to leave his people behind. It is one of these books that is hard to put down when you start going.(sadly Amazon tends to skyrocket this book's price without notice, at least in my country)

Es ist wohl eines der Must-Reads der Fantasy: die Jugend von Drizzt, dem Dunkelelfen. Manches wirkt durchaus altbacken. So kommt die Sprache recht hölzern daher. Auch erfüllen die Figuren - allen voran der Held und seine Familie - sehr stark typische Schwarz-Weiß-Klischees. Dennoch haben mir Welt und Ideen gut gefallen. Und wer sich ein bisschen mit Fantasy-Literatur beschäftigt, wird nicht umhin kommen, diesem Meilenstein des Genres mit allem Respekt zu begegnen.
