Exactly what I have been looking for!!!!
Love these cards!!! I feel the card stock is just fine. Now this is important. I have been reading tarot for 10 years. So these cards are definitely for more advance readers. The pip cards are simply 2 cups or 3 swords. Which for me is exactly what I have been looking for. The book really doesn't explain what the cards mean so you need to have an understanding of the cards. If you like to collect tarot, you will love this deck too. For me I can't wait to use them tomorrow with my clients 🙂

This is a "Book of Shadows" deck that is based on a fictional world. It is used as a promotional tool for a movie by Andrea Aste. I can appreciate the artwork, but the marketing of the deck is misleading. Unless you are a fan of Andrea's Aste's work, it is not a usable deck.

Awesome illustrations, but...
So I just got my deck today. They're pretty cool, but the card stock is on the flimsy side and definitely not what I was expecting so that's why I decided to give this deck 4 stars. The book that comes with the deck doesn't explain the meaning of the cards whatsoever. The major arcana cards are absolutely beautiful. The minor arcana cards aren't fully illustrated, which I fully understood before buying the deck. The court cards are fantastic as well. One thing to note is that the back of the cards is gray and not that yellowish/aged color like in the front of the cards.

Fantastic, quirky artwork coupled with an excellent tall tale
I watched this deck's creator birth his fantastic vision via a Kickstarter campaign. Unfortunately, this was made available via Amazon before the Kickstarter campaign was fulfilled -- through no fault of the deck creator's own. I still have yet to receive the Kickstarter version, and impatiently, I ordered a copy here. This marvelous deck is worth it.The publisher, Lo Scarabeo, has packaged this concept beautifully. The box is sturdy and uses spot varnish for a sophisticated touch. The cards are also made of a nice material that is strong yet flexible. Coupled with the deck is a book wherein the author spins his tale of The Alchemist and the origins of this "original" Tarot. It's wonderful and whimsical. The deck uses a non-illustrated pips approach (though the pips are awesome).I would give this package five stars but unfortunately, the book trim is a bit crooked. And the artist? He gets 10 stars for his smashing creation!

Really like this deck
I really liked this deck. The reviews from people who funded the Kickstarter for it are probably a little negatively biased, but since I had no such experience with these cards, I'm not upset with them. This deck doesn't come with a "how to" guide on card meanings, which is good to note for beginners, but by no means is this the first deck of its kind, coming with no instructions. I thought the cards were pretty cut and dry as far as meanings, the Major Arcana are numbered but not explicitly named, but the pictures give themselves away if you're unfamiliar with the numerical system. The Minor Arcana are very straightforward, which I actually like in a deck, I find that some decks suffer trying to put so much symbolism in every single card when it really isn't necessary.I absolutely love the artwork on these cards, and the stock is decent in my opinion. I don't need a super heavy duty card stock on my deck, I have small hands and it makes them difficult for me to shuffle. I dock it one star because of the accompanying book. I'd rather they'd have left it out entirely as it served no purpose, but it's an easy enough thing to toss it out, though I did like the variety of spreads and tore those pages out for future use.All in all, really like this deck and am excited to work with it. I suggest The Linestrider Tarot for people looking for a good deck/companion guide combo, but this deck is great for people who already have a pretty solid understanding of the cards

Lovingly crafted.
I love decks that are different and not made in the mold of the Rider-Waie traditional deck everyone knows so well. The thing that impresses me most about this tarot kit is the gorgeously produced book that comes along with it! Good lord! Glossy color pages highlight the making and evolution of this unusual deck of tarot cards. I also love the sepia/brownish/antique finish on the cards. Just love the whole thing!

Love this deck but the card stock is horrible I'm almost afraid to shuffle them hard to read and was going to return them but missed the window by one day.

The Parallel World of the "Lost Code of Tarot"
The "Lost Code of Tarot" is a very magical, parrallel world, inhabited by The Alchemist and his Book of Shadows. The deck is Marseilles style, as it represents the original Tarot deck. The colors are black and red, representing mystery, intellect, and passion. It is an 80 card dck, with the meaning of the two extra cards still to be determined. The card titles follow traditional Rider-Waite titles, with the card imagery colorful and remeniscent of ancient drawings. The book is the Alchemist's "Bookof Shadows", and describes his journey. It does not go into card meanings. The book and deck are part of a larger project, incuding a mockumentary and a series of videos on You Tube. This is not a learners deck, but it works well for those that have a basic knowledge of the Tarot. It is exciting, and opens up the mind of the reader. New worlds await us!

First off i have to say the packaging is amazing. It comes in a great sturdy box that will no doubt protect the cards for a lifetime. I love the imagery, as a collector this has great value to me. I cant say that i will be working with this deck regularly, because the card stock is not great. If I were to start using this deck on a regular basis i would have to purchase a back up for sure. The cards themselves are beautiful though. I got exactly what i expected. I have seen previous reviews of this product where people are upset because they funded the starter for this. That is understandable, I did not have anything to do with funding the starter project for this, therefor I am happy with this purchase. It arrived on time. The quality is great. If i could change anything it would be a higher card stock quality. Other than that I am very happy with this purchase.

really bad deck
I thought these would look a lot different. when I eventually got the deck, I went through it right away to make sure al the cards were there. it is really hard to figure out some of the major arcana, and a lot of the minor arcana are hard to figure out they are as well.the reason I bought these is because I liked that they didn't have the written names of the cards across the bottom like other decks. but ,unfortunately, you need the written names to figure out some of these cards. especially if you do big spreads. these cards are all done in a style like they have been drawn with a red, black, and blue bic pen. so in really big spreads where cards are side by side and above and below each other, it is really hard to read them.I have a spread where its a 3x3. so 3 cards laid out in three rows top to bottom. bottom row is past, middle is current, top is future. very middle card is the heart of the situation, the top and bottom middle plus the two cards beside the heart card are what surrounds the situation. then there is connection cards from past to future events like an x. the bottom 3 and top three can be used for a 12 month reading as well. so I use this one spread all the time because you get loads of information from it. but with these cards, it's a really hard read since the lines are so thin in the drawings.some people might really like these cards. but I think they will just be put in my collection.
