We just got our pug puppy (@ 9wks old). We wanted to find a way to contain her while we couldn't supervise her. I felt really bad about keeping her in a crate, so I figured a pet playpen would be ideal. The playpen is VERY easy to set up. We have it set up inside, on hardwood floors. So, there's no way of securing the playpen to anything on the ground. The con about this is that when the puppy leans against one of the playpen "walls", it can move. Please note that just the wall moves, the playpen seems to be very secure (i.e., not topple over). We partially corrected this by using cable ties to secure her "potty area" (a piece of sod in a shallow storage tupper) to the playpen (see picture). It works nicely! I recommend this product, just keep in mind that the shape deforms a bit if the dog leans against the wall (you can also see this in one of the pictures). You might need to find a way of correcting this.

It was very quick and easy to set up without tools, folds up easily, and isn't too heavy --- and this is for a small person! I currently have it set up in a 2x4 configuration for a small puppy. I like how the panels can be easily configured to any shape you want. It did come with ground stakes/anchors, though mine will be used indoors for now. Out of the many playpens available on Amazon, I went wtih this one because they offered a one year warranty. Time will tell how useful this is, though I hope to not use it. It just gives me peace of mind that they're willing to give the warranty! I got the 30" height because I wanted to ensure the puppy would have a hard time escaping. I didn't want to buy the 24" and end up having to upgrade later. Only problem is, I can't step over the 30" high one, but I figured it would be okay since it has a doggy door!I don't know what the "corner stabilizers" are, but I did not receive them. Also, not sure about the quality control aspect. There are some rough edges. The "Pet Trex" sign is only a sticker that would be removed once you wash it for the first time. Some of the wires don't line up. I don't know about the "heavy duty" part of the latches, since they don't even line up properly. I ended up using binder clips instead, since the latches did not seem sturdy at all. Some of the satin electro-coat finish was already worn off by the time I received it, so i'm not sure how durable it really is.

I did not received a playpen as pictured, with a "step through gate." A pet could step through, but not me -- on my playpen there is a rail across the top of the gate area, preventing me from being able to step through. As a result, I had to lift the puppy in and out until she started to work with me. Also required hanging over the 30" high sides to pick up or put down food bowls, poop, whatever. 30" is too high for comfort to do that and also too high to be safe trying to step over with a puppy galloping around inside. I wound up having to unlatch the entire section and use the whole section as a gate which was spooky on the hardwood floor. So: product as ordered/pictured = 0 stars. Angry making.I wound up getting a better designed pen from a local store and moving this one outside to be the outside potty zone, where dragging the whole section as a gate didn't matter and I could hammer in the stakes to support that style of use.Aside from the failure to match the description, it works well for a nicely mannered puppy who understands the notion of boundaries. Because its easy to knock around, she could blast her way out, but she doesn't. I stiffened the sides by twist-tying 2 1"x1"s along the outside of the 4' length to prevent distortion, just in case she decides to get rowdy. She did try to hang on/climb out once, but all it took was one reprimand and now she just stands on her hind legs like a meerkat without touching the fence when she wants to get my attention (border collies learn fast).The things I like about this pen are 1) the flexibility -- many shapes and sizes possible with little fuss so its quickly adaptable; 2) its heavy enough to hold down a heavy plastic liner to deal with accidents; 3) Using it outside, I'm not seeing any signs of rust yet. So, for what it is (not a step through) I'd give this about a 3 star due to its needing additional strengthening to keep from distorting.So...overall score 2 stars. Woulda been 3 had it matched the product description/pictures. Just glad I could use it for something else.
