Q: Can the pitcher go on the stovetop directly?

I would not try it. I use it to steam milk for coffee. I believe that is what it was designed for. It is good metal so it could be.

Q: Is the pitcher insulated?

It is not. Just metal, but works wonderfully.

Q: Does the Tamp contain lead.??

No, California is just required to put a warning label on it, for "just in case". But we don't use any lead.

Q: Does the pitcher show measurements?

Yes, inside. 6, 8, 10, & 12 oz. also in metric. Hope that helps. I like this product.
