Exfoliating Loofah Back Scrubber for Shower for Men and Women (4x32 in.)

This is a great product concept for me as I have shoulder issues and need something to help wash my back. I really like the feel and reach of the back scrubber and highly recommend it based on performance and ease of use. I wrote a review a few weeks back giving it 3 stars because one side of the string/rope handles broke and provided additional detail around that particular issue. Customer support apparently saw my review and independently reached out to me. They apologized, attributed the issue to a manufacturing issue, and provided a replacement product at no charge and within a very short time frame of addressing the issue. I have since used it, stretched it, and abused it to see how it would hold up and it seems they are correct that it was a glitch in the manufacturing process. The stitching holds with no observable sign of weakness. Based on their excellent customer service support and reusing the product, albeit for a brief time so far, I have revised my rating from 3 to 5 stars. It is very good and other benefits I mentioned in my prior review (i.e., ease of drying, use of rougher scrubber for exfoliation, soft, retains soap, ease of cleaning) remain true for this replacement product. Overall, it performs as advertised and recommend it without hesitation. It is particularly helpful for those with limited range of motion that have a need for a good back cleaning solution.

Having tried numerous brushes, I just about gave up on finding a "good" solution to really washing and cleaning my back. The reviews on this and other wrap-around scrubbers was mixed, some hinting at short term usage or physical weakness and failure. I bought two, deciding if they did the job for 6 to 8 weeks each, it was worthwhile. I am still using the original, which physically and functionally is new and perfect in every respect. I have no idea when I may, if ever, need the 2nd one. I am not a small guy; 6 feet and 260 lbs, so getting around me and working properly was a major concern. The back scrubber reaches everywhere and performs miracles. I do follow the product care guidelines, but it appears brand new after serious use with no odor, sign of mold or mildew and no signs of failure. This product is perfect for cleaning your back: period. With respect to full disclosure; I find my shower time extended about 6 minutes because I use the scrubber almost totally in place of a washcloth, and my soap usage has increased a little over 5%. As I have a water-saver shut-off shower head and soap is cheap compared to feeling really CLEAN, these two caveats are negligible at best.

My back is always dry and itchy now that winter is in full force. I live in a dry climate that requires frequent lotion use, but it's kind of difficult to get it all over your back. When I got a couple of tattoos on my back, I needed to be able to wash them well - using my pouf wasn't cutting it. I purchased a pouf on a stick, but I never really used it. It was awkward and didn't feel like it did a very good job of washing, much less exfoliating. Plus I didn't really like using one pouf for my body and another for my back - it seemed like I spent a good portion of my time rinsing out poufs. I should also mention that I had a serious back injury and still deal with chronic pain, so that made it difficult to use anything on a stick. When I saw this it was like a light bulb went off. One side has a loofah-type surface, the other is soft. There is a pocket in the scrubber to place a bar of soap if you want. (I love that!) It's tough to get the soap to lather when it's inside the pocket, so I scrub the bar on the outside of the scrubber to get it sudsy, then stick it in the pocket. This is also great to use on your knees, elbows, feet, etc. I don't feel the loofah surface is as harsh as most loofahs I've used, which makes it great for more sensitive skin. The length is useful - the handles are easy to grab and slide over any part of your back, but not so far apart that it's uncomfortable. I do feel like the photos are a little misleading - at least to me. I didn't realize that the loofah surface is only in the middle third of the scrubber - so the other 2/3rds aren't loofah-y. It's still a good item and I'm not convinced that having a larger loofah area would increase the usefulness of this product, but it's still something to note. It's easy to rinse out and you just hang it to dry. At under $15, this is a good purchase. There are directions on the package about caring for the scrubber, which is helpful. I recommend if you're looking for a product like this. (And really, if you aren't, why are you even on this page, reading this review??)

This design looks good at first but after a single use it became clear that it was not that great of a design. The loofah will dry all curled up and not flat after being used. So a lot of the surface area you would use originally is kind of lost here. This makes it pretty ineffective. You can still use it as a decent wash cloth loofah but again, its a round surface not a flat cloth surface. Pros: *Material is good at scrubbing Cons: *The material deforms to the point that it makes it pretty ineffective. (-2 stars) Additional Considerations: I am having better luck with a solid wood back scrubber with similar material on the end. I absolutely love my Voda Reve Exfoliating Loofah Back Scrubber!!!! The packaging included use and care instructions which I found quite helpful. When moistened the loofah expands considerably, providing a good area of coverage when scrubbing the body. The design of the long handles with wash cloth makes it comfortable and easy to use when scrubbing the back shoulders and neck and the hidden pocket for the bar of soap makes it efficient and provides a good lather. The best benefit of all is my skin feels softer after each use. I have used back scrubber brushes in the past, which require awkward twisting and turning to scrub hard-to-reach places. I definitely prefer this loofah back scrubber which is easier to use, has a greater area of coverage and leaves my skin feeling great! This product is very well made and dries quickly between uses. I will be letting family and friends know about this great find and also plan to buy more as stocking stuffers this Christmas!

I ordered this loofa because I wanted to have a "natural" exfoliator for my dry skin, especially for my back which is hard to reach with a wash cloth. Not only did this work perfect as an exfoliating device but it massaged areas I couldn't reach. I am a seamstress and I am very impressed with the strength of the scrubber. It is very sturdy and my husband (who is taller & stronger than me) uses it vertically & horizontally, no problem. I have been using the scrubber for a month now, and it hangs in our shower & drys quickly. No signs of moisture, mildew or mold that I have experienced with loofa-on-a-stick type scrubbers. I'm such a believer in this product that I bought 4 more & gave them to family & friends. I highly recommend this product!

UPDATE: I contacted the company about the loofah tearing, and they promptly responded. They put a replacement in the mail and I received it very quickly. Great customer support! I will definitely order from them in the future! This product cleans very well and feels wonderful. It isn't hard & painful like a lot of loofahs that I've used. Unfortunately, it tore during the first use. It isn't a cheap (price wise) product, and it seemed to be made much better than that (high quality) . I made the mistake of waiting to try it and the return window has closed, so I guess I'll just take this loss. I'm upset that it broke so soon because it is a nice product.

To start with, this product helped me clean my entire back for the first time in a long time! Not only that, but it helped me get over a sensitivity problem with the skin on my back. I have eczema, which causes my skin to be overly sensitive to touch or abrasiveness. For example, a friend slapping my back jokingly? Instant pain and crazy itching sensation. This product actually helped me get over that problem! Over the course of two weeks, I gradually worked this scrubbing 'tool' into my shower routine. While it definitely bothered me at first, it now worked my skin to the point where cleaning my back no longer bothers me. It was uncomfortable to use at first, but I learned how to position my arms so that it works well. As a man, I have back hair. The main problem I have with this, is that hairs get caught in the material portion. Due to how the fibers are laid out, getting the hairs out is pretty difficult. Also, while they say this can hold bars of soap, mine definitely cannot. I can't even fit a half-used bar of soap into the "pouch" area because it looks like the material was manufactured too large on the back part. I'd recommend this product! Especially since it's a nice balance between soft and exfoliating on the material part. It's also fairly priced and arrived as expected. Thanks!

Práctico para lavarse la espalda, pero no es demasiado grande y tampoco es muy exfoliante. La superficie que se supone es exfoliante, para mi gusto, es demasiado suave. Por eso las 3 estrellas. Pero bueno, mejor que nada. Si buscas algo que te exfolie bien la piel, busca otra cosa. Si buscas algo para lavarte la espalda y que de paso te exfolie ligeramente, te puede servir.

This product is wonderful to use. Good to be able to get rid of dead skin. Long enough for the both of us (.My husband is tall and l am quite short ) Wouldn't . be without it now. There is a "pocket" that can be used for soap or bath gel. Very well made. Easy to keep clean after use. Also, in my opinion better than a long handled bristle scrubber. Should last for some time. No more itchy backs !!
