But I will say get some of the anti-fog inserts before using this. I didn’t know I needed them and all of my snorkeling footage is entirely ruined as a result.. **Q: Is the outside coating of the lens cover hydrophobic?** A: Yes **Q: How sturdy is the lock/latch? I had another housing and the latch was junk-attached by 2 thin metal 'fingers'.** A: latch is similar to original case, but with locking release lever to prevent from accidentally opening. real sturdy. **Q: how deep can this case go under water?** A: It is rated for 45 meters depth. However, the Press buttons on the casing that putt the camera on and start recording have VERY SMALL and THIN steel points pressing onto your GoPro's rubber buttons. This will 100% , over time, cause a puncture in your GoPros's buttons.... I will keep these as I use a remote and do not need these buttons. I will put epoxy glue on the buttons to ensure i do not forget about this....
