Das ist nun mein 3. Bluetooth-Lautsprecher, nachdem alle Vorgänger nach einiger Zeit den Geist aufgegeben haben. Insgesamt bin ich super zufrieden damit! Schickes Design und sehr einfach und praktisch in der Handhabung. Auch das Koppeln mit meinen Geräten funktioniert einwandfrei. Er hat sich vorallem auch auf Reisen bzw. Ausflügen bewährt: sehr handlich und super Klang auch im Freien; habe die Outdoor-Funktion fast nie gebraucht, da er auch so schon sehr laut sein kann. Ansonsten ist er so gut wie jeden Tag bei mir zuhause in Betrieb. Zwei kleine Minuspunkte vergebe ich für die Akkuleistung - mir kommt vor, dass er nach einigen Monaten schneller leer ist und öfters aufgeladen werden muss - sowie für die fehlende Funktion, mit der Taste auch ein Lied zurückzuspringen. Man kann lediglich pausieren oder vorwärtsspringen; die Zurück-Funktion wäre ein nettes Goodie gewesen. Aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau - ich würde trotzdem eine klare Kaufempfehlung aussprechen!

Before this, I owned a JBL charge 3. And I must say compared to this, the JBL sounds like a hobo trying to recreate your favorite song by hitting a trash bag, while this actually sounds like the song you're trying to listen to. Really crisp and clear sound without losing out on bass. It's incredible how loud this small speaker can get without sounding distorted. For me this is a home-office speaker that I can also use in the garage (when wiping down groceries or, in happier times, working on my bikes or playing darts). I'm fussy about audio and normally use Beyerdynamic DT770 headphones. But sometimes you don't want to wear cans. So that's where little speakers, like this, fill a niche requirement. The Wonderboom 2 is just great. It's actually really beefy sounding for such a compact unit - almost physics-defying bass. It's not going to rattle your teeth out obviously, but it's got heft and depth. Careful placement helps too with how you want it to sound - it's bassier in window alcoves etc. I've been listening to jazz, indie and electronic music. All sound wonderful on this unit. Crisp and clear, no shrillness and with good separation. No hiss either, which is often a problem on some devices at lower volume. And there's a good low end fullness even at those low volumes which are an essential necessity when you're all locked down at home together (I wonder if someone will read this in a year's time and wonder what on earth I mean by lockdown!). On loudness - I'm no teenager with a skateboard who wants to belt out noise outdoors at full volume, but if I were (I wish) this would do that job well too - very loud when needed. It's portable hifi - the big old home hifi with two speakers and an amp will soon be a thing of the past I guess... In terms of Bluetooth connection, it's a doddle to connect to, and with a good long range of reception. Additionally, the enclosure seems physically well built and it has a reasonable weight. Not too heavy but solid enough to sit on a surface well. It's a good bit of industrial design. Very simple. The hook is good for carrying around the house, but I can't imagine a scenario where I'll really need to hang it up. I'm really impressed, and I was on the verge of pushing the button on a (i.e buying) the supposedly best unit at this size, the Bose Soundlink Revolve, but thought, no, just give this a go first, it's a hundred quid less. I was right, it was worth a go. Obviously this is a honeymoon period review - I'll check back in if reliability proves to be an issue. The Wonderboom 2 is certainly all I need in a speaker like this. Maybe it'll do you too?

The speaker came charged and ready to belt out some music. The Bluetooth connection was easy and the speaker maintained it even though I went downstairs with my phone (forgot it was in my pocket ). It is waterproof and floats so I bought it for use on the boat, but I know this has become my go to speaker for all uses. NYT reviewed it and said it was the best one they tested. Get it now before the price goes up.
