Good quality product. Had to take 2 tablets
Had to take 2 tablets to feel the effect. It works great, such a relief. 1 tablet didn't have much effect.

Can be the source of terrible crampy abdominal pain
Took a while to realise this gave me terrible nausea and abdominal pain, even when taken without any lactose meal as a test. Turns out this is a common issue with digestive enzymes from Enzymedica. I had similar issues with Digest Gold albeit less severe. I have no issues with lactase-only tablets from other companies. If this works for you thatโs fine, but people should be aware if they get crampy pains while taking this, itโs very likely not the lactose theyโre eating but rather this thing.

Worth the very hefty pricetag
I thought I was lactose intolerant, because eating dairy had become very painful. Unbelievable cramps and gas. I tried Lactase and found that it worked for a while, but eventually, all the pain and gas came back, so I thought I'd have to give up all dairy. Over years, my gastroenterologist has been trying to figure out what I have, and he was amazed when, after taking Lacto, I could eat dairy. The reason is that I'm not just lactose intolerant. I have no idea which milk sugars I can handle, and I'm not sure it's possible to find out, but - the front of the Lacto bottle talks about relief for lactose and casein. The back of the bottle shows that besides lactase, it has 8 other enzymes to be able to break down any and all dairy. For those who say it doesn't work, I wonder if you are not taking enough, or maybe not at the right time - if I ate cheese without taking Lacto, my pain would start within minutes. I take a dose that fits what I'm eating and I take it immediately before I start eating. Yes, it's expensive, and would be expensive if one pill was all I took each time I eat something that has dairy in it. I take up to 5, depending on what and how much dairy is in a meal. And if I take 4 when I have a cream soup, I take 5 more when I'm about to eat ice cream even if it's within the same meal. For me, horrendously expensive as it is, it's such a big relief that it is really worth it.

Sensitive belly loves these!
Bought these after being recommended by a friend and now they are the only ones that actually help! One pill and Iโm good to go back to eating ice cream!

GOOD But Not Perfect
I am sorting out my dairy "issues" and stumbled upon this product. I mainly depend on it for my daily milk in my coffee and occasional sour cream consumption. I take this about 10 minutes before I need it with plain lukewarm water. It works, sorta. I still get some minor burping and gas.
