When it moves, it is only from the back to the front of the desk in my office. The cable is linking a Dell laptop (held by the 1st arm a fixed 2-arm system) with a 4K 32" monitor (held by the 2nd arm). This is a long cable, so there is plenty to allow for the arms to properly move if needed and still have some cable lose behind the desk.When installed. the image and sound were passed w/o any issues, and I always used 4K@60Hz SDR and HDR, so I can confirm that these scenarios work fine. No blinking, signal loss, etc., this is the only cable that I manged to find in this configuration and that truly supported 4K HDR.Unfortunately, its construction is weak at best. I am an IT professional (i.e. I know what I am doing) and installed the cable back in April. Today, mid-July, I stopped receiving signal while typing a text. The computer froze for a second and "disconnected" the 4K 32" monitor. Long story short, a quick troubleshooting showed that the Mini-DP is "broken" internally. I am amazed; I probably only disconnected this cable 3-4 times and during its installation and haven't touched it afterwards. I live alone, so can't blame the kids, and the tip has no signs of abuse anyway.I am sorry to say, this expensive cable is now going to the trash and I have to find a new vendor. Will update this once I do.
