Great content
Everything about the stock market, mutual funds and bounds is covered and explained. It's a source of real information for an investor. However, the finance language used is somewhat heavy for a layman! Thanks to the commentary that simplifies the chapters.

This is the best book to read on investing.
I read the 1973 Edition and I believe that this edition (1959) is more of Graham than the later edition. Definitely the best reference on investing. You probably wouldn't need to read much more beyond this book to create a framework on investing and arrive at sound mind set around the topic

I recently purchased the hardcover edition of 'The Intelligent Investor'.
The hardcover quality is excellent—the binding, size, and overall build feel really nice. It also appears to be an original copy, and I had no issues with the product. What surprised me the most was the price. I got this hardcover for just ₹850, which is extremely cheap considering how expensive the original edition can be. I also really like the seller. I’ve purchased from him multiple times, and although I’ve been disappointed a few times, most of my experiences have been very positive. He usually provides good-quality products. The one weakness I noticed is the paper quality. I wouldn’t say the paper is particularly premium. However, considering the size of the book, the hardcover binding, and the price I paid, I still think the overall value is excellent. Improving the paper quality would probably increase the price significantly, so personally, I wouldn’t want them to increase the price just for better paper. As for the content, I would "not recommend this book as a first investing book for complete beginners". In my opinion, it is more suitable for someone at an intermediate level—or perhaps intermediate-plus. Even then, it can be challenging. If you’re completely new to investing, I would suggest starting with books such as: - Learn to Earn— Peter Lynch - One Up On Wall Street — Peter Lynch - A Random Walk Down Wall Street — Burton G. Malkiel - beating the street — Peter Lynch After reading those, moving on to'The Intelligent Investor'can make much more sense because you’ll already understand many of the basic concepts and terminology that Graham discusses. Another thing I really enjoyed about this edition is the commentary by Jason Zweig. Graham's original ideas are combined with Zweig's explanations and commentary, which makes the book much more approachable and connects many of the concepts to modern market conditions. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the purchase. For ₹850, getting a hardcover copy of such a substantial and influential investing book is, in my experience, excellent value. The paper quality could be better, but considering the price, I’m completely fine with the trade-off.
