Snot what I expected
I eat Chinese food a lot, and have never encountred plum sauce like this. In fact, I'd hesitate to even call this "sauce". It's incredibly thick, and has a (sorry!) snot-like consistency which is not only off-putting, but makes it almost impossible to dip anything in it! If you plan on using this in cooking, it might be ok, since the flavour is nice enough, but if you bought it to dip spring rolls or dim sims into, I recommend giving this a miss. My search for the sweet red dipping sauce they give you at Chinese restaurants continues.

Good plum sauce
This is my family go to brand for plum sauce. We usually use this with roasted pork, chicken, or duck. It is not too sweet, not salty like other brands. Helps to cut the oiliness of the meat you are eating. I also use this for salad dressing sometimes.
