I spent a lot of time looking for a decent pair of hairdresser scissors to cut my husbands hair and I was really impressed with the quality of this product. PS. His hair cut came out very well and I am now his hairdresser!!

TLDR: get it for the price if it isn’t for your job. Pros, sorry for my crimes against hair and thank you for your work 🙌I’ve had this kit for over a year now and I can honestly say it’s a great budget option for DIY cuts. I’ve used it to accompany a clipper and by itself with success, so pretty versatile. I was worried the razor would be trash quickly but the blades can actually pretty easily be removed and replaced. It isn’t difficult to adjust the tension, and they’re only just starting to get dull but it wouldn’t be difficult to sharpen the scissors. Not sure about the thinning shears but at the price, they’re a good starter tool at the very least. A nice bonus is the little blue gem on the scissors, didn’t notice it before today but it is cute. I wouldn’t recommend this to a pro, but it’s comfortable and easy to use with 99% of what you need included for anyone just getting started or who wants a way to touch up between cuts. (Not pictured is the cape, which I actually just use to catch all the hair then dump in the trash to make cleanup easier. As a fun bonus it was also able to catch a glass file that I dropped during a cut and contain the glass so I didn’t have to spend a million years searching for unusual sparkles in my grout.)For what it is? 5 stars. Definitely meant for DIY cuts and beginner education, but the price reflects that and the quality is honestly not bad for what it is. My only minor complaint is that if I want to store the cape in the original case, I’d have to compress it which makes it slightly less easy to grab and go. But I don’t think the average person is expecting that to be the case so I’m not letting it impact my rating, just an FYI it you're purchasing with the goal of it being an all in one kit stored as such. But the case is actually big enough that you can add some extra clips and things which is nice. And the included clips are plastic, which may be a downside to some but the metal ones always rip my hair out so I say it’s a win.One little caveat i will add is that I would like if the kit came with a small mirror. I use one in addition and it didn’t affect the cost much, but it would’ve been nice to have even a little one with its own built place into the kit. I might get a compact to add because, like I said, there’s room for it. I could probably even add Velcro or a stretchy strap myself for not much so maybe this isn’t a gripe so much as it is a new fun project for me.Out of ten
