Stave lines are much too faint and far too close. This was a gift for an 80+ musician and he found it totally unsuitable. I don't know who it would suit.

I've been using these for years. Great, as always! The paper is thick. I've noticed that paper quality isn't as good in some other Moleskine journals I recently purchased, so I hope that it doesn't change for the music notebook.

Very smart, sturdy manuscript book with good quality paper, as you would expect from Moleskin. Bought as a gift and the recipient was delighted.

Really nice little book for taking quick musical notes. It is very small (which is advertised) but just be aware!

Bought it for my aspiring-composer brother, who usually uses Sibelius for proper writing but I thought could do with something to write motifs on the go. At first I thought it might not work for long journeys like in planes and cars because he doesn't have "perfect pitch", and might be restricted to use in the house by the piano, but he has a small keyboard app on his iPod that he can use to figure out exact notes so it works out fine. Due to it's small size however he has lost it somewhere in his room for quite a while now, which might be something to consider. The next size up is a bit cumbersome for portability.
