The set is actually the arrtx set which is produced by the same company as himi I believe, still they are really good paints, nice and thick but still easy to blend with water. Very pigmented and can be reactivated once dried.

There is a lot in the tub. Good quality.

don't get me wrong this set was amazing. it worked well and the colors were pigmented. I bought the set thinking it was the popular Himi/Miya gauche set but I got an Artx set when the cover said Miya. after I got over that I realized the set works and does the exact same. i would recommend stirring the colors first cause then they work better. i dont recommend shoving the set in your travel bag and leaving.

The gouache is nice! Unlike other reviews that says the colours are very opaque... I found that a lot of the colours are more transparent than expected but just add a bit of white to it to make the colours more opaque. The case is sturdy, although the plastic "locks" on the lid looks like it's a bit worn out (like if you bend plastic many times and so it might crack). A lot of paint so and it feels nice to paint with so I quite enjoyed it. I have both student grade and artist grade gouache paints and this set is definitely a student grade one. I already have a lot of gouache but this is a good investment since there is a lot of paint and colours for a decent price, and recently I've been using this more since they're so fun and convenient to paint with.

This is a great set for beginners. This is the set that got me into gouache. I was originally looking to buy a Himi set, but these were more affordable so went with these instead. The colors are bold and beautiful. I've had them for two years and thought I would give a little advice that I wish I would've had when I first got them. Once they dry out, you have to reactivate them with water - which makes them very much more like watercolor than gouache and that defeats the purpose. I think this is probably a problem with all the jelly gouaches that come in the sauce cups lol. But! Here's my advice: keep the plastic covers on them, and/or keep them wet by spraying with a little water. Unfortunately, I did not do that so my lovely gouache paints are not as opaque as they once were. That said, this is a great set to start off with. See if you like gouache with these, and if you fall in love - invest in some tube colors. The attached image was made with this set, as well as some metallic watercolors. They do the job, and the price is fantastic. I do recommend.

Love these paints. Highly pigmented, smooth and buttery, thin well and cover well. Easy to rehydrate, lovely to use.
