The product is great and is of excellent quality. But whether or not your dog will play with it would depend on his personality. My dog doesn't like the sound it makes at all. If you have a very active and curious dog this would be perfect.

My puppy was quite scared by the sound

We have an American Spaniel..hyper playful. She spent 2-3 minutes a bit scared of the ball and after that its been non stop play with the ball. It makes a robotic giggling sound when moved and she chases it endlessly. It's heavy and the grips are purposefull difficult, so she takes time to able to get a grip on it with her mounth, which seems to add to the challenge and keeps her stimulated. Very happy with the ball.

Wow, my dog spends plenty of time playing with this thing. The sound is somewhat quiet and tolerable. It's not a constant loud sound, more of a quick one every now and then. It's a good size and looks durable.
