Well made and compact
This is a great product for having a compact, light weigh sharpening hone for my daypack. It works very well for field sharpening on the fly, but does not replace a good sharpening system once you get home. It certainly does what I bought it for.

Quite good
It's light, strong, very portable/convenient and puts a good edge. My only complaints are: 1) if you have a 3.5-4 inch blade, it's difficult to sharpen an entire side in one long stroke since the edge of the handle sticks out perpendicular to the sharpener, pushing the flat of your blade to a much too extreme angle for sharpening when it comes right up to the handle at the beginning of each stroke. and 2) there is a black plastic extension at the end of the rod which I don't like, because often at the end of a stroke, the blade will run onto it and catch somewhat on it, which seems to be a design flaw. However, I am somewhat new to knife sharpening, so I don't really know what I'm talking about, and I still like this sharpener as well as Kershaw in general, so I am happy I bought it and I do recommend.
