I cannot believe I didn’t know about this sooner. First off, I have sinus issues so this has been game changer for steaming and clearing out my sinuses second OMG I had no idea how much gunk was clogging up my pores and making them so big!! I consider myself to have pretty good skins too and using this has completely changed my skin and helped remove stuff that must have been in there for a decade at least!! I thought it was little scars or marks but turns out my pores were just holding onto historic stuff. It took a couple months of use to tighten those up and fully get them closed up and tight but I’m obsessed with how smooth my skin looks now. Combined with sinus relief and just how amazing this feels 10/10 I keep trying to tell my friends how badly they need this they just don’t even realize. This winter too it SAVED me. Follow the instructions because you definitely can over do it with the tools and the steam gets hot!! Be gentle and keep watch on how hot it is and you’ve got yourself a full life changing spa in your life. I included a photo of how much gunk comes out at just a couple passes! It’s crazy!!

I love my steamer and wonder how I survived so many years without it. It is great for relaxing at the end of the day; for freshening my skin; for loosening my pores prior to using my whipped tallow face cream; and it is works wonders for congestion. This steamer even has the ability to warm a washcloth (but beware it gets very hot) and to act as a humidifier. It is portable and can be moved easily. I loved mine so much that I purchased one for my son's girlfriend. These are modestly priced as there are much pricier versions on the market. This model heats up and begins emitting steam within a few short minutes and time is not a concern because you won't be standing over it for more than 5-10 minutes. I like standing over it and moving it all around my face and neck while I inhale the steam through both my mouth and my nose. It is relaxing and relieves stress while helping you expunge impurities from your pores.

This is my first facial steamer purchased which I bought when I was wanting to take care of my skin a little better but wasn't sure which direction to go with purchasing. There are a few reviews stating water splattering up, which does happen however you shouldn't be having your face close enough that water hits you. I did know you're supposed to keep a decent distance away which is what I've done. So far it's good, the only thing I wish was different was a bigger water holding capacity. I used this recently when I was sick to help me feel like I could breathe, which this worked great for as well. I would recommend this just improvements could be made for water splattering up to prevent those who have been in that situation and a larger water capacity. Don't forget that you're supposed to use distilled water in this and not tap water. It's a good value for the money and beginner steamer for skin care.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased this unit after trying a different brand that was constantly breaking. After returning 2 units within 2 weeks, I decided to try a different brand. I found the Pure NanoSteamer to have a superior design (specifically with the water tank) over the pink one with the handle which you see sold under several names here on Amazon. This has much less risk of breaking. This has a good size water tank which allows for a much longer steam than other units. It takes about 1 1/2 minutes for the steam to start, and lasts about 20 minutes. The hand towel steamer takes a about a minute longer, if using a wet towel. I did not think I would use the towel steamer, but once I tried it, I love it and use it every day to remove cleanser. The one small negative is the height. It sits too high to use while sitting at my vanity. The steam goes over my head when sitting. It needs to be on a low coffee table, which isn’t practical for daily use. When standing it hits my neck, but I have to bend to hit the face. The solution for me, whether standing or sitting, is to put a towel over head to capture the steam. This makes it very intense steam! I have to come for air a few times, but it feels great. You need a longer towel for this method, the regular hand towel will put you too close to the steam. You don’t want to get burned, so get something bigger. I found that a 20 x 31” Turkish cotton hand towel works perfectly. Regarding essential oils… I believe most manufacturers are saying not to use essential oils, and yet we all want to use essential oils with our steamers. So the following is my opinion only, based on my experience. This is not any sort of recommendation. Ignoring the manufacturer’s recommendations is something you do at your own risk. But I use 5 drops of eucalyptus oil in my steamer. I’ve been doing this twice daily for over 2 months and have not had any issues. I do clean it every week or 2 with a vinegar/water solution to avoid any buildup of the oils. BTW, I have NOT been compensated for this review. I researched and purchased the item I wanted and paid full price. UPDATE: After nearly a year, my NanoSteamer died. It might sound strange, but I bought the same steamer again to replace it. Even though it only lasted about a year, I used it daily, sometimes twice daily. So I got a lot of use out of it. And for the price, I feel like it was a good deal. I did look around some to see if there was anything new out there which I might like better. But the NanoSteamer had the features I want, and I know that it works great. This time I will not use essential oils in the steamer. That may be the reason it eventually stopped working, I don't know. But I found an even better way to use them, without adding them to the steamer. I put just a drop of eucalyptus oil on a cotton pad and, using tweezers so I don't burn my fingers, I hold the cotton into the steam. I get a lot more of the eucalyptus vapor, using just one drop of oil, than I previously did adding 5 drops to the steamer. I think this is a good solution for those like myself who really want or need to use essential oils. The newer model I received also came with some "free" skin care tools. "Free" in quotes, because the price has actually gone up $10 since the last time I purchased. I would have preferred the lower price and skip the tools I won't use. But I'm still very happy with the NanoSteamer and still feel it is the best option out there, unless you want to spend a few hundred $$ for a professional system.

This was a great investment— and rather inexpensive. I’ve had it for a few months. I use it morning and evening with my basic skincare routine. Steam quality is great and my skin has been glowing lately. I used to use a metal bowl, hot water and a towel— I was hesitant to get a steamer but this is just so much easier to use. It’s meditative and the multiple functions are useful— I’ll probably use this as a humidifier in the winter since my apartment gets dry. Very simple instruction manual/care card provided. I’d recommend letting it dry out fully after each use since it appears you can’t open the place where the water goes in. I’m so happy I got this. Def recommend!

TL;DR: This steamer worked well for me for the price, though it got mold and I had 2 models break in as many years. I recently got a more expensive steamer that works much better. More information I purchased this steamer in 2019 to help with clogged sinuses and clogged pores. It did help on both fronts. For about 1-2 years, I used it close to every day to open up my sinuses before sinus rinsing and I believe it helped me avoid sinus infections. I also bought the same steamer for my sister as a gift. When my steamer broke, she gave me hers. Which also broke a few months later. At the time, the steamer felt like good value for the price. The blackhead removal tools that came with it have been helpful. I never used the steamer towel chamber. I didn't need the large water reservoir, and in fact, mold grew in it at one point. My solution was to only fill the reservoir partway because I would generally only steam for ~5 minutes. I did notice this product now advertises "nano steam" and "negative ions", which makes me skeptical given the fraud in the negative ion products. I recently got a sinus infection recently and decided to go back to steaming. This time I took a risk on a more expensive steamer hoping to find a sturdier option. (I tried https://www.amazon.com/Dr-Dennis-Gross-Facial-Steamer/dp/B071FNYPM4). Out of the box, the new one is significantly better. Specifically 1) it's much smaller/takes up less space, 2) the steam begins much more quickly with less wait and 3) it produces a much higher quantity of steam at a fast rate. I don't know if it will last longer, but it does seem to be a sturdier build. Potential downsides: 1) it doesn't have a towel chamber (which I don't need) and 2) the reservoir is smaller (a good thing for me given my short steaming time and the mold problem). Bottom line: This particular model seems to win on price, and it helped me with sinus problems and clogged pores. If you are optimizing for quality over price, there are better options.

It's wonderful little addition to your face care routine, especially if you have dry skin. I have stopped using soaps and cleansers all together. I don't wear a lot of heavy makeup so I'm not sure if it would work as well for makeup removal with a full face of makeup, but I simply steam for approx 20-30 seconds and then use a warm washcloth to remove makeup, rinse the cloth and repeat 3 or 4 times. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and fresh. All your pores open up and soak in the moisturizers and serums beautifully after. The little tank doesn't hold a lot but I only refill it maybe once every 2 weeks. I haven't used it as a humidifier.... I don't think it would run for more than an hour at most. The towel warmer is also a great added function.
