I make sure all the components (3 of them; the body, top part, and the little water container) get dry. I stay on top of filling it, and do so more often than every 30 minutes for sure. I bought two of these, one for myself and one for my sister. I wouldn’t recommend as a humidifier. Do not leave on all night. I don’t use the facial steaming feature much, as my skin is dry. The facial Steamer seems to be a good one.
