Pie Iron is Pie Ironing Excellently
Brought them camping and cooked a variety of things in them. They come pre-seasoned but I scrubbed em clean & reseasoned em anyway. Pros: These seem very well built. The cast iron part had no defects and the poles feel substantial and well made. The poles come unscrew off and come in two pieces so you can choose your length. This also makes it easy to store. I used them at full length over a campfire in a large firepit. The shorter length seems like it would be ideal over a small fire, a stove or a grill. The fact that the pole unscrews from the pie iron makes cleanup easier too. The pie iron halves separate easily when using. Cons: My only con is probably a personal preference thing but it has grill ridges on the inside. I guess people like those grillmarks, but these pie irons are small, Wonderbread-sized. It makes it a little bit of a pain to clean. I like my camp kitchen supplies to be as easy to clean as I can manage since cleaning up while camping is not as easy as at home. Would I recommend these? Yes! Its great for solo camping and makes cooking a little more fun. I made burgers, ham & swiss pudgie pies with crescent dough and chocolate chip cookies in mine and this thing performed beautifully and stored away compactly. I may buy more since I only bought one.

The best pie irons I have found!
These are absolutely the best pie irons I have ever found. I run a summer camp and have been using different ones for years and these take the cake. They have more space than most and close tight so the sides don't get burned. They are heavy and durable and great. I intend to replace all my other ones with these.

Kind of small size!
Good quality But,too small for new bread American standards. But it is possible to cut it in half. I like!

Solid! Good casting, seals properly, much better than the slightly cheaper ones.
Exactly what I was hoping for. The casting was good on mine. I recently purchased other pie irons from a different, cheaper brand and this one was definitely worth spending a couple extra bucks. It's quality is much better than the 2-pack no-name brand pie irons that are cheaper (I have some of those cheaper irons and they are very hit or miss, some of them are not even useable as a pie iron. This Uno Casa brand blows them out of the water). Very pleased with this purchase.

Nice Pie Iron, Good Size
I have handled and own a few different sizes and brands of pie iron and this one is the one I tend to grab the most while campfire cooking. The size is good for hotdogs, burritos, a single serving of hashbrowns, etc. The space inside is easy to utilize. (Some double ones have this odd middle part divider thing... this doesn't have that which is a good thing.) The handles are very sturdy and heavy. It was easy to "season" and I love the mountain logo on the one iron. I kinda wish they had put the mountain as their logo on both. If you are new to Pie Irons: just realize they are heavy. These aren't really meant to be your only way of cooking your meals while camping. That would be impractical. (Maybe in a survival situation, but not while weekend camping) These are more for your entertainment, much like making Smores. It's fun to play around with and make random munchies while poking the fire. We tried out cookie dough and found that was pretty entertaining since you have to burn a few cookies and sacrifice them to the fire before nailing down the technique. This is what makes pie irons fun to have and I definitely recommend this one if you are buying one for the first time. Do your research and season it (even though it comes "pre seasoned") before you go, and you'll have a nice experience.

Love this thing
I love my new camping toy. Cooking sandwiches is extraordinarily easy, you'd think it'd be too easy too burn the bread over a campfire, but they baked up nice and slow, a little crunchy, very cheesy. The unanimous favorite: pastrami and muenster on herbed focaccia, with hot peppers and mustard.

Too small for standard sandwich bread
The quality of these pie irons is excellent, but they are TOO SMALL. They don't even fit standard sized sandwich bread (I tried three kinds).
