After removing the inside back panel of the freezer, saw lots of ice on the coils and particularly around the defrost thermostat. Also, service test mode (see youtube) indicated a problem with defrost thermostat and the defrost circuit. The defrost thermostat had gone bad and no longer closed at cold temperatures. The new thermostat restored the fridge to full functionality. ## Frequently Bought Together - W10225581 Refrigerator Bimetal Defrost Thermostat (Fixes Temperature Issues) Replacement Part by DR Quality Parts - Compatible with Whirlpool ect.
