The clock is a beautiful piece of art, but hopefully you won't have problems with it as we did. If you do, be aware of the following:1) this particular clock had a known manufacturing defect that we found out about through this endeavor.2) the warranty will not be honored even though it hasn't expired3) sending the clock to a repair place determined by the company is a bad idea as they broke the clock even further.4) the company forced us to try to fix the clock even though we explained numerous times that we had no experience.5) no refund, no replacement6) clock still broken and in worst shape than before, so money lost.The clock was purchased in March, 2015. We enjoyed the clock for approximately 6 months before it stopped working. From that time til now (almost a year) we have been going back and forth with the company trying to get it fixed. As of this writing, it is still broken.

We consider this clock to be a piece of art. It's hand crafted from the wood to the movement to the music box. Our kids ( 32 & 35 ) chuckle at because it's different from the Quartz or digital clocks they grew up with. The hand carved details of the case are amazing from the hand painted cuckoo to the bar maid to the two beer drinkers. It took about a week of tweaking the pendulum to get it accurate - it now has not gained or lost any time in four weeks. It alternates playing two different songs on the hour. It cuckoos once on the half hour. I have learned that while it is indeed an 8 day movement, you would need to mount it 8-1/2 to 9 feet above the floor to have it run 8 days before winding. It was recommended to mount it 6-1/2 feet above the floor - that gives you 5 days before you have to lift the time weight. One really nice feature is that you can set it for cuckoo'ing around the clock, turn it off, or have it cuckoo from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM.

The clock quit working after 60 days. For something that expensive I would expect better. So now I have this beautiful clock that doesn't work.

The best clock I eever had. The only problem is adjusting the time.
