The Piano Pedal Extension, Right, is an adjustable accessory designed for teaching studios, ensuring that every student can play comfortably and effectively, regardless of their height.

Works as advertised
Works perfectly for my 6 year old daughter--she loves being able to reach the right pedal (if you need it for the left pedal, or the middle, you can adjust it accordingly, but it only attaches to one pedal). The product is all metal and is surprisingly sturdy. The only potential drawback is that if you are especially concerned with scratching your pedal, you might want to buy a couple of very thin pads from a hardware store so that the metal on the pedal extender doesn't directly contact your piano pedal. For me, this wasn't necessary, but if you have a very expensive piano you might want to take the added precaution.

Flimsy and Damaged the Piano
This is a great idea, but in practice, it doesn't work well. The foot piece is held onto the height adjustor with a single screw and wing nut, which you have to crank down as hard as you possibly can to keep it from wobbling. Even then, the pedal won't stay flat when you put weight on it - it tips to one side or another, making it more difficult to reach and push down on. I bought this for my 8 year old son, and after several months of use, it has ended up warping the piano's actual pedal to one side.

Useful device. It works. It has a few drawbacks.
I have used these with my piano students since 1980.The pedal shown in the picture is the Left Pedal, not the right. The extensions are a bit of trouble to put on and take off.I use a pair of heavy pliers to get the wing nuts tight enough. They do work well for the year or two that students need them. That's usually ages 6-7.If older children use the piano you have to keep close tabs on them so they won't stand on the pedal and put their weight on the extension. The extensions can be broken or permanently bent. There is only one more drawback. Some of my students resist using them on the grounds that it "makes me feel like a baby"
