Great when it worked..
For the first 6 months it was absolutely fine, worked just as advertised. Didn't use it for about 4 months and when I did go to use it it's now refusing to work.Obviously out of warranty as well and the cost to send it to repair at the one ryobi repair shop I could find just wasn't cost effective. The gun just will not fire, when you depress the trigger I just get a pneumatic sound and no nail. Have tried different nails, new batteries, cleaned it but to no avail. Shame really as I have a fair few other ryobi tools that are all excellent.

Easy to use, Works well
I bought this finish nailer because I didn't want to have to deal with a compressor and the hoses, etc. Several people told me a battery powered nail gun wouldn't work well, but I decided to try it. They were wrong, it works great. It's lightweight and easy to use. I'm a 60 yo woman and have had no problems with it. I've nailed up wainscoting, window trim, and built a wooden trellis with it so far. No problem with nail jams or any other issues. Wish I'd bought it sooner.

Good Value 1 caveat
More than adequate for homeowner use. Takes some time to power up but I'm not speed nailing anything with finish nails.Does have a parasitic draw though... noticed it drained a 5Ahr battery over a month when I hadn't used it at all. Remove battery if you aren't using it for a while is my suggestion.

Works Great, better than expected.
I live in the UK and could not buy this nailer at Amazon uk, they had the 18g nailer but from what I read in the reviews it is far better to buy the '16g'. (fires bigger nails) This has really worked out well.. I did try to buy this online in the UK, everywhere including all of the DIY places but no luck, this was the only place to buy it..I took it for granted that I would need to buy one of the 'BIG' new style batteries but I would wait till the gun had been delivered, (I had, about 2 weeks earlier bought a new Ryobi drill that came with 2 x 1.5 batteries) I am so glad I waited as this nailer works just great on my small 1.5 battery. (have just used 3 strips of nails, first was 38mm and the rest 65mm) I am not using it all day every day I am just a general use type, for home project's, it is real handy as it free's up a hand, this fires in the nails from the smallest size right up to 2.5 inch nails, I have all the settings of the gun set to half way and it fires the nails in below the surface, I have used it on soft wood and Mahogany which is a bit harder, not used it on Oak yet but am pretty sure from what I have seen it will be no problem. I would say you could not go wrong if you bought this nailer, you do not need to have a compressor or gas canister,s just use the 'one battery'.
