Alcott Adventure Retractable Reflective Belt Leash – 16 Feet – Small for Dogs up to 45 lbs, Black with Grey Soft Grip Handle – Durable & Comfortable Dog Leash

I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to use a retractable leash when walking their dog. This one locks quickly and easily to keep your pet close by your side, such as when cars go by or other dogs are near (or that squirrel makes a run for it). But it also lets your dog explore and stop to sniff while you can continue your pace. It also works very easily and allows you to swing your arms when walking without affecting your dog's movements, so it gives you both a better workout. With a poop bag attachment I have all I need for a good hike for as long as I want.

I had a cheap retractable leash from the local dollar store that broke, so I bought this one mainly because I liked the burgundy color. Even though my dog is only 17 pounds, I bought the version for larger dogs. It’s wonderful !! It feels very sturdy and my dog loves to wonder around the backyard without being right by my side. Everything about this leash is great !! Would definitely recommend !!

The XS is a great size for a small, toy or teacup dog. Super compact, light, and easy to pack! I have three on hand.

I bought 4 different colors (black, blue, red, and pink) for my dogs. It's tge best for the price. The ribbon does not twisted, easy release and lock button.

I have bought 2 of these, the first one lasted about a year and after some pulling from my dog, it snapped. The second one lasted about 5 months and the same snapping issue happened. Don't get me wrong, the Leash is great and holds up really well, it may have been a user/dog problem.

I bought one of these for my first dog a few years ago for about $5 and now that I have another furry friend by my side, she gets one too! I tried another brand and almost lost my mind how annoying it was. These leashes are just unbeatable even for one excitable puppy. I can safely say if I’ve only had the breath knocked out of me once by her launching forward. Probably not safe at all (what retractable leashes are?) but it allows the pups to both go their own way without me pulled this way and that.

Alcott retractable leashes hold up to trees, concrete edges, car and truck bumpers, even thorns! I walk (or run, actually) two strong Huskies each day at work for about thirty minutes apiece. (My job description says Chemist, but Dog Walker is more accurate.) These are the only leashes that have never snapped on me. There are two nylon (?-something durable) threads running parallel to the two edges, which prevents the spread of fraying across the width. They don’t lose strength even with a bad fray until the thread is breached, which takes 2-3 months. For the Huskies, I use the sixteen foot length. The attachment is secure enough to hold if they suddenly take off and accelerate for ten or twelve feet. When that happens and I have time to react, I bend my elbow at my side to to provide some give when the leash goes taught. (Just looking out for my shoulder and the dog’s neck.) I keep an extra at work because I refuse to use any other brand. The last one was confiscated by a co-worker when his dog’s costly but other-branded retractable leash broke. Alcott is the brand to get.

We owned this same leash before and it lasted several years and performed very well. I was happy to be able to find the same leash again when we needed to replaceit.

BUENA CALIDAD DE MATERIALES COLOR IDEAL PARA INDICAR QUE LLEVAS UNA HEMBRA MUY UTIL LAS PUNTADAS REFLECTANTES PERO NO VEO QUE FUNCIONEN MUY BIEN LA CORREA TIRA MUY POCO TIENE POCA FUERZA EN OCASIONES SE QUEDA AL PAIRO. PERO LA VOLVERIA A COMPRAR

Two weeka after writing the review below the tape broke. Luckily we were in the house or god know what could have happened...Wouldn’t reccomend.... In the 3 years I’ve had my beagle he’s managed to go through 6 Similar designs (x3 flexi, x1 Haiti, and x2 non branded). Hopefully this is lucky number 7...At this point, I’m just happy if they last 6 months to be honest. We’re three month in and all seems fine. Only negative is the tape sometimes twists; but it’s better than having a cord that snaps easily (flexi and non branded did this while in use!).

I have a rescue senior mini schnauzer who was not used to walking on a leash and did not enjoy it. He liked to stay close and with a regular leash if it dragged on the ground it scared him. I wanted something very light as the weight of the clasp on a regular leash also seemed to bother him. This leash has been the perfect solution, he is comfortable walking close, he can extend to sniff and there is never a dragging leash! This has a smaller clasp and overall very light. He is actually enjoying walks now and doing very well...I would recommend this for any small breed!!
