Great warranty
I had this device for about a year and it stopped working. I didn't think about warranty- it is a cheaper power supply. I bought the same thing but it was a 750. Working great. Then while watching You Tube it was mentioned that it has a 5 year warranty- yeah like that gonna be easy to process. It actually was. They do not use personal customer service with my return. I submitted a form and they had me mail it back. I received a brand new power supply. My niece needed a replacement and I had it on hand. THANKS CORSAIR

Using with a Dell Inspiron 3670 - needs a 24-pin to 8-pin adapter
Dell Inspiron 3670 i7 8th Generation are sprightly mid-range business machines that offer very good bang for buck as far as performance but, and it is a big BUT, Dell really, really don't want you to extend their use outside of business. My need was for a machine that would happily work Davinci Resolve video editing. I used a Geforce 6GB GPU for the video crunching, but to do so I had to add an external power supply and ditch the on-board PSU for the Dell. There are NO spare power taps on the 3670 - no supplementary power for cards or additional drives. The ATX mobo connection is also special which means you can't use the 24-pin ATX connector that comes with the Corsair. You must separately get a 24-pin to 8-Pin adapter to power the mobo, and then take the 6-pin CPU connector from the Corsair to the CPU socket on the mobo. This worked for me: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A210HKO and there are others availableThen you have power to the GPU, and power for a second drive (so I could switch to an SSD plus the original HDD as a data store) plus power to a USB3 card for my external data stores..The new PSU sits on top of the case, and snakes in through the remaining slot access - not to everyone's taste - but it all works very happily and is almost silent. I retained the original PSU and connectors so I can reverse this out for a vanilla machine at a later date. It voids the warranty from Dell, of course, but if you cared about that then you wouldn't be here. Good luck.

Buy this one!
I bought this power supply because I had a computer that would not power on when the power button was pressed - I suspected the power supply was the issue.Once I installed this power supply the computer worked again. I also noticed that the coil whine the PC used to always have was gone! I could not hear it at all! So apparently the old power supply was going bad for a while. The power supply this replaced was a 10-year old Antec. The best thing I like about this is the fact that it is modular. This makes the cable management so much better. I no longer have the "rat's nest" of wires sitting in the bottom of the case anymore, since I do not need the pci-e or 4-pin peripheral connectors in the computer this is installed into (on-board video with all SATA drives and fans driven by the motherboard). The wires are the perfect length too.For the price I bought it of less than $50, you absolutely cannot go wrong with this power supply, it cannot be beat! The added bonus is the high efficiency 80-plus bronze rating, and Corsair name brand. You can expect this to last a long time. The other plus is that it matches the color scheme of my case and motherboard which is white and black (please see picture)! This is just powering a no-frills, non-gaming, non-overclocked PC with integrated graphics, so I can't really speak about its power handling capabilities.

Powerful video cards need more than default 300, 400, or 460 factory power supplies!
Small enough to fit into 'off-the-shelf' happy meals (example: DELL XPS 8500), this powerhouse will do what you want at a reasonable price point, and drive those speedy (but power-hungry) upper-end video cards! Semi modular design means install time is greatly reduced, and no worries trying to re-invent the wheel in terms of cable routing! Only major trick is newer mobos only have 4 power pins for the CPU, whereas older machines have 8. You have to pay attention to plugging in the big 8pin connector onto your 4-pin motherboard header. This WORKS and is actually BY DESIGN. I discovered how to do it by Googling. There is NO 4-pin connector 'per se' furnished with the 'modular' cables. Those are 2 6-pin/8pin PCIe cables for video cards (each cable has 2 8pin plugs, so you would only use BOTH if you had DUAL video cards installed)Could be better: The modular cables are not sleeved. No big deal. Sleeving is more for looks than for robust performance.Whisper-quiet - and reliable. Like all Corsair power supplies. Cost a little more, but they work!

Great power supply for fairly cheap
Pros:-Main [power cables are high quality and have the black protective thing around them.-Power connectors can split into smaller power connectors if need be. For example, the CPU power connector can be split in half to create a 4 pin connector instead of an 8 pin connector.-Fairly cheap ATX PSU compared to other power supplies of this quality.-Comes with 4 screws to hold the power supply in and comes with Zip ties for cable management which was very useful.-Comes with plenty of extra cables for SATA and a few othersCons:-I feel like the cables are way too long, but that's what cable management is for. Not to mention that my computer case is kind of small, so it might just be a personal problem.-NOT FULLY MODULAR. I knew this from the start, but I should just be known that this is only semi modular. The CPU and main power cable are attached to the Power Supply. All other cables for your graphics card, CD Drive and HDD/SSD can be taken on and off.I give it 4 stars because it looks nice, is of high quality, performs well, and I would say is a perfect PSU for a lower end computer or even a higher end computer that doesn't consume a ton of power.
