Heavy duty is right. Well built . Written instructions could be improved but email that was sent was great and the support offered was extremely good. Two thumbs up. I have app a 27 lb lid and it works fantastic.

I installed 2 of these hinges, as I had a heavy butcher block type lid on the 2'x4' chest I built for the kids room. I could have used 1, as these are very well made, easy to install and absolutely do the job. I'd recommend this product.

I built cover lids for my raised garden beds to keep my chickens and other wildlife from eating our vegetables. Each of the lids is 5’ x 4K and with the wood and the machine cloth screening, the covers are not lightweight. I wanted to add something to hold the lids up when you are working on the garden. I tried two simple pistons, but the weight was too much and the covers would start to slowly close after a few minutes, then suddenly drop. Very dangerous. So I bought these Vocomo heavy duty hinges and installed them on the tow covers. They work great. No complaints about the product. The only issue is that the instructions were almost non-existent. For the prior pistons I used, there were included instructions that gave detailed location specs on where to attach each end of the piston to provide the proper open angles you would want. These Docomos didn’t have that and I had to calculate this myself. Haven’t done trigonometry in a few years, but I figured it out. Other than the missing instructions, I recommend these hinges.

The instructions for this product are a hot mess. They are bleary, small, and confusing which might be a saving grace because as far as I can tell they are incorrect as well. The template included on the back of the instructions is difficult to decipher and also scaled wrong so it wouldn't work even if you figured out how to use it. After hours of trial and error, I've installed both 200N struts on a heavy-ish door and they appear to work well. Normally, I wouldn't judge a product based on poor instructions but this is one in which the geometry of installation is vital.
