I use lime wedges in my ice water. Will this help me efficiently squeeze wedges or does it only work well slides or half limes / lemons?

It will squeeze anything you put in it well. I usually use 1/2 limes but sometimes quarters...very sturdy too.

Are the squeezers all the same size, just different colors? Or do the colors match recommended citrus fruits?

the colors indicate the size of the bowl & therefore, the fruit the squeezer is intended for; i.e., green is small for limes, yellow is medium for lemons, oranges is larger for oranges. this is based on squeezing the fruit cut in half. that said, i have quartered limes & lemons & been very satisfied with the results using the large orange squeezer. hth

Yes. You have to tuck larger limes into the bottom section. In saying that, I haven't come across a lime I couldn't fit. I'm very happy with it.
