The book style is so cute and aesthetic! I was worried the game itself wouldn’t be good quality since the box is the selling point but the game is awesome too! The board and cards have a vintage worn look to them which is really cute. Great quality, and I love that all the pieces have a spot in the box! You are paying a little more than you would for a regular board game but so worth the money to get this super fun box and vintage style game!

These board games are so cute! We own an Airbnb/VRBO rental and, while guests appreciate having board games available, I don't like the junky look of stacked board games, so I had all of our games hidden in drawers, out of sight from our guests. When I discovered these bookshelf board games, with the ability to store them in plain sight without detracting from the decor, I had to order them. While they seem a little pricey at first, the quality is sound, and I believe that we will get a great return on our investment, as guests will have a fun activity to enjoy in the home.

I looked at this bookshelf Monopoly for a few weeks wondering "should I fork out the extra money to buy it?" Well, I am glad that I did. My wife and I have several Monopoly sets and we bought this one because we wanted a bookshelf version that looks nice in the living room, and that can be grabbed and set up quickly. This Monopoly set does all of that. The box, game board and cards are slightly faded in areas, but that is done on purpose. I called the manufacturer prior to making my purchase and they confirmed this over the phone. That said, it does not affect the game or make it hard to read/play. In fact, it actually adds personality and a vintage look. The retro fonts on the Chance, Community Chest and Property cards are slightly different than those on other versions of Monopoly, and we think they are 100% better on the bookshelf version - the fonts have a really old-school look. My wife and I play this Monopoly game often and while it will never completely replace our original large versions, it is really awesome and brings back the great memories we had when playing this game as kids. Overall, we feel it is a solid investment if you like Monopoly and want a board, cards, pieces and money that have the esthetic look and feel of years past.

I bought this for an Christmas White Elephant exchange gift. These are all so cute and easy to store. They look nice displayed on a shelf, too! Look Just like a book! It was won by a college student, who took it back to college with them!

My boys love Monopoly and this is perfect to keep in the living room and we are gonna start collecting other games that look similar to this because they store nicely and they are pretty. Monopoly is a fun game to play and it’s pretty easy to learn.

So, I read other reviews before making my purchase and this is my two-cents. It’s a beautiful game and my husband and I love the compact size; however, there is only enough money for two people. There are not enough $100 bills for 3+ players. Thankfully it’s just the two of us now. I am going to look for more play money, but in the mean time a pen and piece of paper can help us keep track of money when we have more players. The compact size does mean the board is slightly smaller. I laced it on top of another full-size Monopoly I own and this bookshelf edition appears to be more rectangular than the regular board. It’s ~1 inch smaller on the short edges and ~0.5 inch smaller on the long edges. All other game pieces are to scale, therefore they are also smaller, but it’s barely noticeable. The game does have a vintage look to it and by that I mean the card colors and writing appears to be faded, but it’s still easy to read. Lastly, the game box and book covers were more grey than they appeared in the photo. Personally, I hated the box and will not keep it, but the book is lovely.

Beautiful presentation of well known family games. Looks great on the bookshelf. Maybe I didn’t read the description properly before buying, but was surprised the game board contains all American properties. Still a fab concept and worth adding to a growing collection of Vintage Bookshelf games.

The quality and details of this version of Monopoly are incredible. Even the insert of the box is covered in this velvety feeling material. Despite how compact this game has been designed, it utilizes space very well. There is even slots to organize the play money when playing the game. The whole collection of these vintage games are very convenient. All the boxes are the same size and look incredible (many board games are all different sizes and can be an eyesore, but these, you want to display them!) I have, and will be, buying more games from this collection. Definitely worth the price.

I was really excited to add this Monopoly Vintage Bookshelf Edition to our collection. The bilingual version is actually a nice touch and makes the game accessible to more people. However, the box is red, which was a total surprise since the listing didn’t mention it. The red color doesn’t match the aesthetic of our bookshelf or the other games in the Vintage Bookshelf collection, which was the whole reason we bought it. While the game itself is great and the quality is as high as expected, the color difference was disappointing. If you’re buying this to match your set, just be aware that the box color may not align with the rest of the collection.

I just received my package, firstly....i ordered it Feb 3 and received it Feb 4. It came in days earlier than it said it would which i was sooooo excited about. It came in grey as advertised (not red like other people said they received). im glad i received it in grey as it goes with my home decor. The only issue is that the money is smaller than the classic board game and i cant seem to find how to order additional money if needed. All the game card pieces in general are much smaller. Other than that...the whole presentation of the game (bookshelf edition) is super elegant and classy. No complaints. I just need to know where/how to order replacement money, charity, chance...if needed. Def recommend this to anyone....and great for gift giving.
