North American Bear Pastel Pancake Bear Green Co. (3540)

I absolutely love this bear! This is meant for infants, but my three year old told me that she wanted a green bear for Christmas. I have no clue where she got the idea for a green bear from. lol.I looked online forever trying to find the perfect green bear. My daughter loves stuffed animals and she has a lot of the same type, especially Beanie Babies, so I wanted something different. I'd never heard of a Pancake bear before I came across this one. I ordered it, not sure of what to expect.Like I said before, this is meant more for infants. The facial features are all sewn on so there's no hard bits. Nothing that can fall off or get choked on, etc. If you're buying for a baby, I'd double check that the ribbon on the bear is sewn on well, or cut it off. The one I received is sewn on well and after tugging it very hard I could not get it to budge, I think it would be safe for a baby.For a toddler or older child, I would also say this is a good cuddly toy. Maybe not something that would get played with during an active playtime, but for snuggling or as a buddy, this is a great choice. I could easily see this as a great pal during car trips, tea parties, playing rocket ship, cuddling with at night or at the doctor for comfort, taking along to see grandparents, etc.The materials are SUPER soft and squishy. When I took it from the package the first time, I wanted to just sit there and hug it and stroke it. It's so crazy soft. This would be great for moms who (to get their babies to sleep better) wear a stuffed animal, sheet, or pillowcase, whatever under their clothes to make it smell like mommy. It's soft and you won't mind it against your skin. And you don't have to worry about any roughness against your precious baby.The arms are stuffed separately from the body and legs and sewn shut. Have you ever washed a stuffed animal in the washing machine only to take it out and all the stuffing is in one end of the animal and there's a limb or two which is totally limp? You have to massage the fluff back to it's rightful place but somehow its never the same as before. The stitching on the arms of the bear prevent that. So you can wash it as many times as needed and it should stay the same. I think the head is the same way but I can't remember.I'd wash it on a delicate cycle with like colors, and hang it to dry using clothespins (so air can circulate around it and no mildew can grow) or MAYBE put it in the dryer on the lowest heat setting, or air fluff. In my experience, dryers can destroy the fur on stuffed animals and make it stiff. I love how soft this little guy is, so I'd be super careful not to let it get messed up.

I have 2 children and they each have 2 pancake bears. It was a great starter bear for them to begin sleeping with because it didn't have eyes or a nose that could come off and become a choking hazard. At 4.5 my oldest son still sleeps with his 2 bears. They have held up well. We've had to resew a little stitching on one bear but otherwise they have held up strong and are well made.

Best teddy bears ever. Have bought these for about 13 years now. love them. The toddlers love them and plus there washable Hallelujah

So soft and cute. Every baby and kid a should have one. Even the big kids!

Bought for first grandbaby, he loves it and bought again for new grandbaby. Wonderful texture, very huggable for little one.

Out of all my sons stuffed animals he only wants to sleep with this bear. We had to get several of them since the bear has to travel with us!!! One in the washer and one in his crib!
