I have had cats my entire life, and I have always used the SafeCat brand, but never this material. I bought the purple collar for my newest rescue, a Calico/Tortie adult female around May of 2015. Paisley came from a rocky background and is believed to be between 5-6 years old, so I wasn't expecting a collar to last long. It's been a year and a half and the collar is still with us, and Paisley chose an inside/outside lifestyle(because who can argue with a cat?). It does not seem to bother her at all and has not rubbed her hair off or shown any other signs of causing discomfort. I am about to order her a new one, not because there is anything wrong with hers, but because I think we need a change of color. I adjusted the collar to its smallest size and it fits her little neck. It's loose, but not so loose it falls off or looks awkward. She doesn't like the bell, but I removed that for her. The clasp releases easily for safety. The yellow collar is attractive, exactly what I expected from the online photo. The best thing is I can adjust the length as she grows.____________________UPDATE: My cat was only about 2 pounds when I started using this collar. She's now about 10 pounds. It still fits. She's supposed to be the second largest breed in the world. If she gets to 16 pounds, I will come back to update onces more.
