This precision machinist rule is made in the USA by Products Engineering Company (PEC Tools), a premier US tool manufacturer. It is coated with Titanium Nitride for extreme scratch resistance and ultra-high contrast. It is made from the finest steel available and is hardened and tempered. Graduations are precision photo etched and then black filled for easy readability. 4R graduations show 8ths and 16ths on one side and 32nds and 64ths on the reverse Rule is .750 inches wide and .035 inches thick. Both long edges are ground flat and straight.

High Quality - High Price
Expensive, but it will last a lifetime.I have several stainless steel rules, but this titanium coated rule is easier to read. There is less glare. The one thing that would make this tool better is having a "T-hook" at the end as shown in the following link. Pricey but very much worth the cost.
Very well made rule. Markings are very clear, the bright yellow background makes the markings stand out in low light and what appears to be TIN coating makes the rule practically rustproof.
