It’s a good cpu cooler don’t get me wrong but 70 degrees whilst gaming on normal days and 81-82 degrees on hot days with kombo strike on level 3 is too close to the temperature limit/ thermal throttling zone so I’d highly recommend you get an Arctic freezer liquid cooler or a Noctua NH-D15.

My old Corsair H100i started developing an issue after moving the PC which meant the CPU was at 75~80°C at idle 😨 I tried applying fresh thermal paste (Noctua NT-H2) and this did help but still was at 52~55°C at idle and spiking to 72°C randomly. I did run Prime95 but the CPU hit 100°C after 10 seconds 🤦🏼‍♂️ Decided it must be a faulty pump (had the H100i since 2016) so I was looking at the Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black as my i7-6800K has a 140W TDP and this would be plenty to keep it cool. Did some further research and came across the DeepCool AS500 PLUS online, and the reviews I found indicated the AS500 PLUS would offer very very similar performance but at almost half the cost (£105.46 for the NH-D15 chromax.black vs. £58.99 for the AS500 PLUS) so I went with it.The packaging was nice and sturdy with thick foam protecting the cooler. Installing the mounting hardware for LGA2011-v3 was pretty easy with only 3 steps (steps are different for other sockets). I did choose to stick with putting some new NT-H2 instead of using the included DeepCool paste (as NT-H2 is one of the best pastes currently). Mounting the cooler itself wasn't too difficult and the fans were easy too (I did use the fins to line up both fans so they were the same).Booted up the PC and had to double-check that I plugged the fans into the headers because it was virtually silent! The CPU now idles at 25~27°C and hits 41~47°C when gaming. 🤩 I ran Prime95 for 5 minutes and it peaked at 50°C whilst still being very very quiet. Would definitely recommend the AS500 PLUS!

Purchased this hoping to get the 100% heat spikes down and stop the thermal throttling. It work like a charm and came with all the fitments. Could not be happier. Good product

The media could not be loaded.  Only a few months in but cannot say a bad word looks lovely it is bigger than I thought so had to buy a new case but was prepared for that anyway, no issues or problems it comes with thermal paste also which is good

I bought this as a replacement to my first purchase of an AIO pump cooler which was a big disappointment and failed after 2 years.After reading around this cooler has great reviews and was recommended for high tdp systems.Now this is pretty chunky and only just fits in my system. I only have a mini-atx build but have a spacious Thermaltake Tower 100 case and it still only just fits.But where as my failed cooler would keep my cpu at around 70c at idle. This monster keeps it between 40 and 50 and only rises slightly higher when under use such as in a game.It's whisper quite and the leds on it bring some colour which helps detract from its size.If it you believe it will fit then I highly recommend.

Not a huge fan of AIOs and was looking for something that could do a job with a 7950x. Had this for some months, and it's been great, I must say. No backplate required for the am5 boards, super easy installation.Great ram clearance so no fears there, Temps sit around 45 on idol, and whilst gaming I hit around 70s. I am happy with the performance and price is good.

After looking around the web for different air coolers after my AIO failed to keep idle temps below 50°c and underload was hitting 95°c, the Deepcool as500 plus kept popping up in comparison to bigger more expensive coolers and i'm glad i took the plunge and bought one. Mixed with Arctic MX4 I'm now getting idle temps of 35°c and underload its barley hitting 60°c with basically no noise - CPU is AMD 5600x. For the price this is an absolute bargain.

Review of a Deepcool AS500 plus purchased to keep a 5900x cool.Very easy to install on an am4 socketFans are quiet under load and seem to be good qualityFor daily use pbo enabled max temp is 76c running handbrake for a couple of hours.Idle temps are around 40cRunning an intel burn test hit mid 80s and it can't cope with prime 95 which is fair enough most coolers won't.Well worth the £52 I paid and I would recommend it if you're running at stock on a 5900x
